Mattingly will get in for sure.
There is absolutely NO reason that Bert Blyleven shouldn't get in from that list. This will be the best bet for Don Mattingly and Jim Rice, also
Mattingly has little to no shot of getting in at all. My guess would be that Sutter and Blyleven probably have their best shot, although it's entirely possible no one will get in.
Agreed, that is one brutal class... If Bertus (who IMHO is the only guy on that list who should get in) can't do it this year, he may never...
Will Walt Weiss get a vote? His 88 Fleer (or was it 89?) rookie card skyrocketed to $2.25 after he won rookie of the year. That is worth a vote to me, as I had a couple...
I think Weiss will manage a vote or two. I think Wetteland is most likely to get shut out altogether.
The last two posts remind me of a few years ago, when Jim DeShaies staged a campaign to see if he could get a single Hall of Fame vote. He got it, although the guy who voted for him claimed that he intended to vote for Jim Rice.
I am amazed that Walt Weiss and John Wetteland are on the ballot.
Everyone is so down on Wettland, he did have 330 career saves, that's not chopped liver, he'll get a few votes.
The new eligible RBIers are Gooden and Will the thrill
I think Ozzie Guillen will be hard pressed to get a vote. He had less walks in his career than Kelly Leak did in a typical game. THough the White Sox are winning so he'll get the vote for no reason...

Put 'The Hawk' in the Hall now, bitches! I have lots of his trading cards.
I am pretty sure that it would take an act of God, Satan or Donnie Moore, but if Willie McGee makes it, Im driving the 1800 mile round trip again next year.
