Title: Atari RBI Legend
Post by: GPines on 05/23/02, 02:07:16 PM
Today Shawn Green went off going 6 for 6 with 4 bombs, and set a ML record for total bases with 19.

But the thing that stuck out to me was, the guy he past up was Atari League Chicago Subs slugger Joe Adcock.

4 homeruns?  I like it.  Keep it up Shawn.  Joe Adcock hit 4 homeruns for me in game 7 of the RBI championship when i became the first ever to hold the belt.

That is quite impressive...  I'll take Mark Whiten's 4hr 12rbi game awhile back, but that is one hell of a game!

Now your learning!  You have to love references to former Redbirds!  Mark "Hard Hittin" Whiten was not the man to fuck with in Cincinatti on that glorious evening.  Is there anyone in RBI who has hit 4 dongs in one game before?

In the NES there was Mike Schmidt and in the arcade there was Bob Horner, Wilile Mays, Lou Gehrig and Joe Adcock:

Today i was watching the Rangers play the Cubs at Wrigley, and during the game they had Atari R.B.I. legend Brian Williams come in the booth with them.  I think he did an ok job.

If it was the former Cubbie, it's Billy Williams - or as we like to call him Billy Dee Williams...
