Does anyone out there actually like using sidearmed pitchers? For some batters it's like kryptonite but for others like my buddy Chubbs it's more like winning a million dollars.
There aren't many and I hate using them all except for Bedrosion, because he throws gas, and Grandpa Orosco, because he's side arm and a lefty, which is usually good for two out resulting from the ensuing confusion.
You should shut yourself down totally until you have attained my ultimate accomplishment - 9 inning no hitter using only uncle jesse orosco. eat a d.
Anyone who disses Sabes as a sidearmer should not post on this site. He and Orosco kick ass. All you have to do with Sabes is line up on one side of the rubber and gas it to the other side of the plate, works every time- although he tires easier that way.
The sidearm across the plate does work pretty well but like you said, he gets tired really quick. Then you start giving up bomb after bomb after bomb.
No hitter with the Old Man? That's crazy. What were the circumstances?
Pretty much just a magical circumstance. I think that Uncle Jesse must have been hitting it with Daisy Duke before the game though.
I'd accept that challenge, glasshoe. Sabes would ruin you.
Hundred dollar game? That's a lot of cheddar to be putting on a game of RBI. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever mixed gambling with RBI.
Speaking of gambling, anyone been watching that World Series of Poker. Very entertaining.
My friends and I have actually played watch games and bet small sums on it. You can also watch games and play death if you want to concentrate on your drinking totally. We leave the big video games dollars to Madden. I've actually won a good sum on that before.
I've gone so far as to bet on where my created player would go to on NCAA football, during the dynasty recruiting phase.
I would bet any amount of money on myself with a team of 12 Lou Whitakers and 4 Jesse Oroscos. Bottom line.
It always comes back to Lou Whitaker in some way.
Sweet Lou. Did you guys know that Sweet Lou and Trammell were the shortstop and second basemen for the Tigers for twenty years in a row or some shit? So Alan gets to manage and who does he name bench coach? Kirk Gibson! What about Sweet Lou?
Apparently, Sweet Lou struck out. Just like GlassJoe versus Old Man Saberhagen.
Don't refer to Sabes as old man. He is still under 60. Reserve that term for Orosco, who lied about his birthdate to say he was 65. He's actually 81 next month.
