Title: David Eckstein & Tom Herr
Post by: Mark on 08/07/05, 10:22:47 PM
David Eckstein's grand slam homerun tonight in the bottom of the ninth against Atlanta was the first game ending grand slam for St. Louis since Tom Herr in 1987.

Thank you ESPN Radio.

ultimate, that was hilarious.  but, as eckstein was my favorite angel, i feel it necessary to defend his cowboy-hat-wearing antics.   the picture was taken on the stage after the angels won the world series in 2002.  the cowboy hat is from former owner gene autry "the singing cowboy."  i think a couple guys took turns wearing autry's hat that night as an homage to the inventor of los angeles/california/anaheim/los angeles baseball.

another note about eckstein:  he hit walk-off homeruns on back-to-back days in 2002.

It is when you understand the symbolism.  I'll interpret:

Teddy thinks Mr. OJ is sexy.
