I read the first half and really liked it. I certainly didn't consider it heavy reading, but honestly don't remember the writing quality being all that bad. I should pick it up again, but Bullet Bob is going to be my next read...

I'd say the writing is comparable to my writing in 4th grade. Entertaining book but wow does that guy SUCK as a writer.
