Title: straight-pitch?
Post by: john on 09/16/03, 03:56:19 PM
does straight-pitch mean you have to go right down the middle?  or you can move the pitcher on the mound, but then only go right down the (new) middle?  or you can start it left but it has to stay that way, without changing the trajectory mid-flight?

thanks.

For the purposes of my crew it means that you cannot curve the ball.  You can set up left or right but then only throw strait.  Fastball, normal, and changeup (blooge) is allowed, but no blooge on a 3rd strike.  Violating these rules will cause the infringer to take 3 drinks and get punched in the face.

That's actually a question I'd been meaning to ask.  I kinda knew the answer but wasn't exactly sure.

I would think straight pitch is only for if you wanna get REALLY fucked up.  I've never played it before and can only imagine the offense that comes from it.  It could be worth a try.

That is exactly the point.  Straight pitch effectively eliminates strikeouts.  If anyone strikes out during straight pitch that person must finish their drinks.

Dove rarely plays straight pitch. He's into the opposite: Gay pitch.

Clever semantics my friend.  No that is Johnny Lockharts game.

Dove.  VGP is obviously baiting you with his last two posts.  Time to hit the bottle and then let him have it.

I unintentionally pushed his hot button... he hates freaking Lou Whitaker.  I think they had a run-in in the past and sweet Lou stole his best girl or something.  There is just no reason for that kind of smack against Lou.  I will get tanked later and handle my business.

Is that a new euphism?  Instead of 'spank the money' it's 'handle my business'?

Yes it is very similar to "juggling your junk"

Caddyshack II:  blowjob lines (not really anything to do with this thread, but why not quote a movie that doesn't exist?)

Swallow the swan?
Pop the porpoise?
Slide the squid?
Have you ever seen a crisp fifty dollar bill?

These lines were all cheap imitiations of Rodney's classic line in the original:  "Wanna make 5 dollars?...the hard way?"
