Besides the obvious which is malt liquor, what's your go-to grub or beverage whilst playing RBI baseball?
As far as food goes, you almost have to pick something that is finger food but it can't be something like cheese doodles, where the cheese gets all over your fingertips and all over the controller. I hate that. I make sure I always keep my NES controller clean except when that cheerleader has the panty shot during the halftime of Tecmo Super Bowl.
A good food is Combos pizza flavor, or you could go for some brand of pizza bites. If you're into healthy crap, a good combo with your beer is small carrots with ranch for dipping.
Best beverage besides Camo Ice XXXXX 9.0% malt liqour is Gatorade because you feel like you're right there on the bench as the manager.
In fact, while the weather's still warm, I plan on busting out my extension cord, putting my tv outside and setting up a bench to sit on and play RBI outside while wearing a cap and and trying to remain stone-faced like this guy

To hell with what my neighbors think. I'm going to sit out there on a bench while playing RBI and spit sunflower seeds or maybe just put in a huge chaw of Red Man. Sorry to switch topics all of the sudden but it would be epic to have a lineup like the managers do in the dugout, and a mock phone where you tell Don Robinson to warm up.
Playing a night game outside in October would be awesome too......chilly weather, wearing one of those baseball jackets and feeling like you're in the World Series.....spitting sunflower seeds and pounding Colt 45s.
So what food/drinks do you like during RBI? This thread is intended to get many people involved and get some good suggestions out there.
You can never go wrong with pretzels and beer. For "RBI Beer" it must be a light beer (for me Miller Lite or PBR) since you will be drinking many.
White Tortilla chips and salsa is also a good muchie. White tortillas since they will leave less residue on your fingers.
German mini kegs
And I second Stock's chips and salsa recommendation
High Life's baby!
As far as eats go I would pre-game it with Taco bell, but I cant say that I usually eat anything while playing RBI. If I had to choose something I would say Mozzarella sticks.
My friends and I recently began playing outside late at night. Nothing quite like being under the stars with some beers and some RBI across the patio.
Pussy and Pussy juice
It was bound to happen.
ok... I'll stop being funny from now on.
I'm with malnu - I hardly ever eat when playing RBI. As for drinks, it's the life staple - beer if I'm drinking and DMD if I am not. For the drinking game, it's definitely Miller Lite in the bottles, ice cold. If you are playing a full night of the drinking game, it'll definitely serve you best as the low alcohol content keeps you going longer. If I played the drinking game with Camo, for example, I'd be vomiting from both the taste and the extreme intake of alcohol by about game #2...
But to each their own in the beautiful fields of RBI...
for us 'underage' r.b.i. ballers, we can't get good access to the alocholic beverages. so we go for the next best thing -- sweet valley cola, aldi's finest. with about 50 g of sugar per can, expect dozens of games played back to back. and as for snacks, call me a third grader, but fruit snacks are the way to go (trix, scooby doo, etcetera) because there is no grease and now stickyness.
In the original spirit of the RBI drinking game, the non-alcoholic NH chapter of RBI Baseball Drinking Gamers have decided that only the WORST tasting non-alcoholic drink we can think of should be used to play. Therefore, Moxie is the official choice.

I'm sooooo excited to get to visit an Aldi Friday night on my way back home, and than drink a ton of cheap imitation beer with a few friends and play Ribby.
long live aldi!

long live aldi!
Aldi sucks...
How disappointing. In the one I was at in Western West Virginia, the only beer they had was some German stuff (Werstergerererner) that went for only 4.50 for six, and a bunch of wine/wine coolers. Needless to say I bought two sixers of the German stuff, but I was really expecting to come home with a trunk full of cheap imitation beer.
And...They don't even sell cigarettes!!!

I drink whatever beer is cheaper at the time, PBR or my beloved High Life. As for food, anything in the pantry is fair game after half a dozen RBI games a dozen or so beers.
