Title: Is there a term for that pitcher stall when you bring in a pinch-hitter?
Post by: DamnTheCowboys on 09/02/05, 02:52:20 PM
When playing vs. the computer, sometimes when you substitute for a PH, the pitcher will stand there with his thumb up his ass for several seconds, like he's admiring Pat Sheridan's ass or something.   He'll stand there like a dufus, shaking off signs, and finally throw a pitch.   This only happens when you bring in a PH.   These absolutely pisses me off, especially when I am moving  runners around and getting hits, scoring runs, I got a couple guys on base and I bring in a guy like Joel Youngblood off the bench, and I got the momentum going and then the pitcher just stands there and fukks up my momentum.
Every time it happens I say out loud, "Pitch the ball, you pussy."    >:(

DTC, when the new pitcher does this, press pause and step out to recollect your thoughts.  Works every time.  Don't think too much, just hit.  When you step back in, tell him to bring that weak ass shit.
