When making my claim earlier that the Black Thing homerun was more rare than the "Wallzie", I felt that it was true. (And yes, I'm still blathering about the Black Thing)
However, I must now correct myself. Never in my RBI days have so many dongs made their way into the Black Thing. It is getting ridiculous. In the past couple of weeks, we have had several games when 2 homers found their way into the Black Thing. This was unheard of as recently as two years ago. I thing it is the steroids, because Black Thing fever has taken over the MID-MO RBI match-ups at a frantic pace. The "Wallzie" is definitely more rare, but it still doesn't hold a candle to the excitement and momentum that a Black Thing shot provides.
One more thing. If you don't have the Karate Kid soundtrack, get your ass out there and find it. This CD is priceless! "Bean" Eposito is argueably the most influential artist in soundtrack history.
I agree the wallzie is more rare, and in my opinion more enjoyable just because it looks so silly. Another rare occurence that I love is the "by 'em". I'm not sure if you have another term for this, but its when you have a player standing on the bag, usually 1st, 3rd or home...and the ball is thrown from the outfield and misses the play and rolls all the way to the wall.
Maybe u guys are experts on hitting the ball into the black thing, but if i had a dollar for every time i hit one into the black thing, i would be broke.
that doesnt sound too promising there burnzky... maybe you should get on the juice.
Burnzky, if you are itching for Black Thing magic, may I suggest that you try using Detroit. Matt Nokes has hit the Black Thing more times than I can count, at least for me. Wally Joyner does it frequently as well. However, Sullivan and Hendrick are recent entries into the Black Thing around these parts. This proves my point that the RBI players have been influenced by the current major leaguers into using anabolic steroids.
i havent hit hte black thing very often at all....but me and t see a walzie nearly every time we play....ive found that me and t are consistenly either right on a pitch or dreadfully behind it...we dont hit alot to center....so the black thing may have been acomplished..but we hit alot of walzies...i had the lowest walzie ever the other day...trammel hit a line drive that was about 1 inch from bouncing and they called it a dinger....good times my friends...good times
I dont see any wallzies or black thing shots at all. The only thing i see consitently is SL on the dice and coleman popping up to second first pitch.
who are you rolling for the computer aaron? seems like the die is giving you an advantage against the computer... speed kills them.
