Arcade cart...I was the Yankees vs astros. i used the 3 lefties and just tossed slurve in there. accidentally K'd Gavis in the 2nd inning. they did not hit a ball out of the infield from what i remember.
things got hairy in 8th and 9th as Thon and some other scrub hit a rocket liner that the short stop was able to snag before it went to the outfield. the pitcher comes up, with 2 out in the 9th and bloops one, but the shadow was covered by the catcher for a moment so i couldnt see it right away, and it landed for a single. got the next batter out for the 1 hitter.
motherfucking pitcher. not a bad effort. from what ive heard the no K's/no-hitter has eluded everyone here. fucking pitcher anyways......

i realize its the stros, but im tossin em in there, and a cheap ass homer by anyone, or a bloop by anyone and its by the boards.....i think its a decent feat for only getting 1-strike out. I had to make about 6 or 7 deep at short stop plays and perfect lazer throws along with a couple more at 3rd base. lots of defense, and also if there woulda beena bop that woulda killed it as well. the planets aligned for a while.

Have got to the 7th innin g a few times but thats it.
i tried it again, cedeno lead off the game with a single to left and gave up 4 runs in about 4 innings..davis homer drove in a couple.
fuck this may have been a once in a lifetime feat and I blew it.
Using multiple pitchers is also cheating though.
I know I've made it into the 8th against NL with Blyleven, I haven't tried in a long time.

What kind of no-hit runs have been made on the arcade version? That's pretty much all I will be playing for the time being to justify the machine being in "My wife's basement"... ...not sure I'm good enough at the machine yet but I've been getting alot more time in lately.

this in effect has rained on my parade by throwing basically a 2nd no hitter today. blah.
sutcliffe gets rocked by a homer by cedeno and some other hard hits. i'll try ford again and see what happens.
This hardy seems tough (again, I no hit a C-Bus contestant for 7 innings with no K's, and he's a real person, and wasn't the 'stros).
Since it's a no hitter we're going for, I assume we're allowed to make errors and walk batters?
i have always went by how the computer scores the game and bops are hits. however i have never gone further than say the 5th inning in a no hit/no K attempt.
the only thing i can figure with this accomplishment is that the amount of curve/placement put the pitches by ford in areas that HOU cannott hammer. thus all the ground ball outs. i tried again and gave up some hits here and there with ford, but not like the hits i gave up with sutcliffe. I assume i can duplicate the feat if i tried a few more ties. so therefore the whole thing is kinda tainted.
attezz....im really impressed that you took a no-no so deep into the game with no K's(maybe even more impressive)
seema like possibly a human would be easier to no hit since humans tend to swing much more at balls out of the strike zone, and thus get weak hits off the end of the bat.
I was playing the arcade cart with my buddy the other night and he was amazed that Kevin Bass was on the all time Astros team. What amazed him more was that Jack Clark is the alltime cleanup hitter for the Cardinals.
TBT- A perfect game against anyone with no K's is impressive (and very difficult), I just don't want you to have it watered down by doing it against the Stos
