THE OC HOLDS OFF POOPYDICKS 23-20 TO TAKE GAME ONE OF WORLD SERIES

Defending champs score eight runs in the ninth inning,
hang on after furious Poopydicks rally

The OC scored eight runs in the ninth inning, only to see The Poopydicks score six runs before closing out the game with a 23-20 victory.  The victory gives The OC a 1-0 lead in the Best of Seven Fantasy RBI World Series.

Andre Dawson homered three times and drove in six to pace while Ellis Burks hit two home runs with six RBI. The defending champions had pulled ahead with runs in the sixth and seventh innings, before breaking the game open with eight runs in the ninth inning.

But The Poopydicks did not go away in the bottom of the ninth inning, scoring six times with one out. Matt Nokes followed Paul Molitor's home run with a single, and Roy Smalley almost brought the tying run to the plate after reaching on an error. But Nokes was forced out at second when he had to tag up. Todd Worrell then forced Steve Bedrosian into a fielder's choice to end the game.

THE OC DEFEATS THE POOPYDICKS
19-14, TAKES 2-0 SERIES LEAD

The OC used a pair of seven-run innings to defeat the host Poopydicks 19-14 on Sunday night, taking a 2-0 series lead in the Best-of-Seven Fantasy RBI World Series.

The defending champion OC took a 7-0 lead after getting 10 hits in the first inning. However, the Poopydicks would chip away at the lead, taking a 10-9 lead after three innings. The lead would change two more times before The OC was able to score seven times in the seventh inning off of loser Bruce Hurst to take a commanding 18-11 lead that they would not relinquish.

Fernando Valenzuela picked up the win in relief for The OC, giving up four earned runs in the final five innings. Seven different players homered for The OC, including Terry Pendleton, who was the surprise offensive hero with a 5 for 6 performance while driving in five and scoring twice.

George Bell homered three times for The Poopydicks, who were done in by their inability to capitalize on opportunities. The Poopydicks stranded 12 runners on base, compared to just five for The OC.

THE OC TAKES COMMANDING
3-0 SERIES LEAD WITH 11-10 VICTORY

For the first two games in the Fantasy RBI World Series, The OC have jumped out to a big lead early, only to see The Poopydicks stage a late-inning rally to threaten. Wednesday afternoon's Game 3 was no different than the first two, and with the same result - The OC held onto to an 11-10 victory over the visiting Poopydicks. With the win, The OC moves one game away from clinching their second consecutive Fantasy RBI World Series title.

"Fucking cock whore bitch titted mother fuckers," said Poopydicks manager Mark "fkn" McLane after the game. "If these sons of bitches can hit so well in the last three innings, why can't they hit like this from the start of the game. Cum dumpster dick shits..."

McLane then went and mercilessly beat Lou Whitaker with a tire iron for 15 minutes as punishment for his 1 for 6 performance.

The OC jumped out to a 6-0 lead, and eventually built their margin up to 8-1 after five innings. However, as has happened frequently in this series, The Poopydicks feasted on The OC's bullpen, closing to within two runs going into the last inning. That gap closed further when Phil Garner hit a two-out solo home run in the ninth. However, OC closer Todd Worrell was able to enduce Paul Molitor to ground out to end the game.

Dwight Gooden had a masterful performance for The OC, giving up four earned runs over 5 2/3 innings pitched. The OC won despite being outhomered by The Poopydicks 8-3. Steve Lake and Candy Maldanado each drove in three for The OC, while The Poopydicks' Don Mattingly homered twice in the losing effort.

rafael santana homered against us.  that has to be some major computer aided swinging going on there.  stupid sexy computer.

the same crappy play happened once to both teams:  runner on third, a ground ball to third base.  the runner comes home and the throw beats him, but before being tagged out, the catcher throws the ball to first too late to get the batter/runner.  i saw it for us first and i was pissed we didn't tag the runner at home, then the next inning the same thing happed to the poopydicks.  at least it was fair both ways.

george bell only went 1-5.  i think the contract out on his life has been putting pressure on him.

POOPYDICKS AVOID ELIMINATION WITH 18-8 VICTORY

Bullpen shuts down The OC to avoid World Series sweep

The Poopydicks avoided elimination in the Fantasy RBI World Series with an 18-8 victory over The OC on Monday afternoon in front of a disappointed crowd of OC supporters on the strength of reliever Bruce Hurst and a feisty offense.

Hurst shut out The OC over the final 4 2/3 innings to pick up the save fo starter Mike Krukow. The offensive hero was Paul Molitor, who was a shocking 5 for 6 with two home runs and six RBI.

The OC's starter Dwight Gooden was roughed up in taking the loss, giving up 11 earned runs in four innings. Andre Dawson had an unusual night, going 5 for 5 but not driving in a run.

POOPYDICKS STAY ALIVE IN WORLD SERIES
WITH 17-9 VICTORY IN GAME 5

Krukow's complete game, Nokes' five RBI help send Poopydicks
back home for a crucial Game 6 against The OC

The Poopydicks shocked a sellout crowd of OC supporters by taking a dominating 17-9 victory in Game 5 of the Fantasy RBI World Series on Monday, cutting their deficit to 3-2 and regaining home-field advantage as the series shifts back to Poopydickville for a final time.

Mike Krukow had an epic performance on the mound for The Poopydicks, scattering 15 hits and nine runs in throwing a complete game. Matt Nokes was the hitting hero for The Poopydicks, going 3 for 4 with a home run, five RBI and three runs scored.

"Poopywhat?!?," shouted ecstatic Poopydicks coach fknmclane as his team exited the locker room and boarded their jet to return home. "The OC are a bunch of choking dicksmokers, and their management is sucking the pipe right now. Especially that douchebag BDawk - what a maroon!"

The OC held a 20-minute, closed-door meeting after the game, called by team owner and coach TBG. Afterwards, he and GM BDawk had a heated argument in the team offices that, according to some reports, either esclated to blows and/or lovemaking.

The OC's Andre Dawson was again held in check, going 2 for 5 with only one RBI on a solo home run.

THE OC WINS FANTASY RBI WORLD SERIES WITH 19-15 VICTORY IN GAME 6

Early lead holds as both teams score five times in the ninth

It was a long time coming, but for The OC, it was worth the wait. Despite having nearly squandered a 3-0 series lead, The OC clinched the Fantasy RBI World Series on Wednesday night with a 19-15 victory in Game 6 over the host Poopydicks. The victory gives The OC back-to-back World Series titles, and marks what owner and manager TBG hopes is the start of a dynasty.

The OC's dramatic near collapse is rumored to have caused tension between TBG and GM BDawk. However, both parties were all smiles ina racous post-game celebration in The OC's locker room.

"I always knew that we had the organization and players that were capable of doing this," said TBG. "I knew it was a matter of time, and I never stopped believing in our team."

However, BDawk admitted to having some lingering concerns.

"I absolutely stopped believing in this team," he said. "I'm glad to be wrong, but I was sure that they were nothing but a bunch of spineless choke artists. Then again, I am a Phildelphia sports fan, so it's what I'm used to."

The celebration took a near-tragic turn later in the evening, when TBG accidentally had a sip of real champagne instead of his apple cider. After stumbling around the locker room and making many misspelled posts on Dee-Nee.com, TBG later passed out in the team's laundry room. As of this morning, he was reported to be resting uncomfortably with "a monster headache".

Not surprisingly, the Game 6 hero was Andre Dawson, who went 6 for 6 with two home runs and six RBI. Fernando Valenzuela picked up the win in relief, going giving up three runs in 3 2/3 innings.

The OC was finally able to get the The Poopydicks' bullpen after two frustrating games. Although Mike Krukow gave up only four earned runs in 4 2/3 innings of work, The Poopydicks were undone by Bruce Hurst, who allowed seven earned runs in 2 2/3 innings.

The Poopydicks still had a chance late, scoring five times in the ninth inning, capped by Lou Whitaker's three-run homer. But Don Mattingly's ground out ended the game and the season for The Poopydicks.

Poopydicks manager fknmclane was not pleased with his team's performance.

"I hate my team," he repeated over and over in the loser's clubhouse. "What a bunch of pussies. I hate the pitchers, the hitters, the bat boys, the concession workers...fuck them all, right up their fucking fuckasses!"

Congratulations to The OC, their players, management and fans for taking back-to-back Fantasy RBI titles. This season has been a lot of fun - although I'm sorry that circumstances kept me from paying as much attention to it as I have before.
