The Empire would like to publicly announce that Reggie Jackson, Ryne Sandberg and Will Clark will be starting in our upcoming ComieHitlers clash. Reggie will be hitting cleanup followed by Dale Murphy, Will Clark and Ryne Sandberg. Denny Walling will be our last pinch hitter and will be platooning with Ryne Sandberg.
The Empire looks forward to meeting the CommieHitlers. We are aware of their team speed, good pitching and overall ability. Our pitchers are very familiar with their lineup. Luke nomaa has done a great job at breaking down the film/scouting reports and presenting a sound game plan to minimize the 1-2-3-4 hitters. Our pitchers have a strong grasp of what we are trying to preach. Nomaa has been brilliant in sharpening up the mechanics of our whole pitching staff and the numbers speaks for themselves as we have the second best ERA in the league.
We are aware of team owner Nacho's personal problems lately. We feel that the Force is weak in him right now. And the Empire shall exploit this.
We plan to play Empire style ball with impeccable execution.
We expect to win. Luke nomaa shall not fail me with our improved lineup. We are number one in homeruns, number two in batting average, and number two in slugging percentage. There is little to stand between the Empire and its utter dominance of the known universe.
If the CommieHitlers choose not to fight, then they will meet their destiny.
May the Force bless our Empire.

I can't wait til nomaa comes after the Empire et tu Brute style.
There shall not exist, any notion that Commander nomaa is heir to the Empire. The 15th of this month shall come and pass.
Ryne Sanberg will be on a short leash. I know the hate is strong in him, but I am gambling on Ryno's spirit to strengthen the dark side of the Force in Ryne Sandberg. If not, then I am fucked with Walling and a sally Ryno Sanberg. But Reggie should make up for the difference.
Reggie is set to go on a terror. The Thrill will get his.
This will mark the Empire's first road trip. We shall use the team ship......Super Star Destroyer Executor.
Our away Imperial Stormtrooper uniforms transcends a powerful message and presence on the Tengen diamond.

This thread, like the last three RBI league threads, needs more large irrelevant pictures that make it difficult for me to read any other post.
at least darkie is strong in his convictions...i'll give him that much.
You're such an enabler.
The GDavis @ The OC game is complete. Game video is attached.
box score please
I cannot watch the game and I am hoping we kicked some OC booty.
Good game. Very tight.
WTF GDavis? Watch some games already.
If there is one team that I despise...it is GDavis. They are on steroids, they play station to station ball, they have no team speed, but they do hit bombs. That is it. Just bombs. The Empire will avenge our last defeat to those fucks.

Sounds like the Empire is trying to put together a final solution.
GDavis Holds on to Tip The OC, 16-13
DEE-NEE CITY - Chet Lemon added three home runs and George Bell and Harry Spilman each added a pair as GDavis held off a last-inning rally by The OC to take a 16-13 victory in a Gantry Division game played Wednesday night at Tengen Stadium.
GDavis (5-2) appeared to have the game well in hand when taking a 16-9 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning. However, the bottom of The OC's order produced four runs off of Jesse Orosco, and The OC (2-5) was able to get the tying run to the plate in the form of Tom Brunansky. However, Orosco was able to induce Brunansky to ground out to end the game.
The OC's fan base, known as one of the best in the Fantasy RBI League, have shown signs of growing frustration. New pitcher Bret Saberhagen was booed by a large portion of the crowd after leaving the game following three innings of ineffective work. Several fans were even spotted carrying signs critical of The OC's management, including one that said "Trade Reggie? How About Trading TBG and BDawk? John 4:20"

We're up half a game on you. See if you can keep pace with us son.
George Bell is on a terror. He hit a bomb on the first pitch of the game. Kind of cool. GDavis hits bombs. I won't mention any names, but some people really screwed up in the draft. And GDavis was in the right place at the right time and went for the power sluggers.
I knew Pendleton would start to cool off. Pedro and Wally had decent days. Now it's my turn to keep up with GDavis and win wih my new powerful lineup. Everything is riding on Sandberg. He should put up the same numbers as Pendleton. Reggie and the Thrill should have a strong second half.
Great post game write up by fighton. I bet TBG and BDawk are the two most hated people in the OC right now. But they are back to back champs and they still have a shot?
Let the Potatoes Curse begin...
maybe next year i'll move the team up to san luis obispo. some of our key bats were neutralized by the lefthanded pitching of gdavis. we'll come through. i feel a win streak coming on.
chet lemon was a force. sometimes you just can't stop a guy when he's seeing the ball that well.
I finally got my spreadsheet updated with all the damn changes from week 6 to 7, now I can start scoring the games
I'm going to be out of town until Tuesday night for work. I'll try to get the games done at night in my hotel room, but don't be surprised if I decide I'd rather go to a bar in Austin than hang out and simulate a game in my hotel room.
What no games on a friday? Damn. Oh well. I have only been waiting since noon my time. But it's cool, I like watching the games on the week seven rom and replaying weeks 1-6 and the other games that have not been played yet on week 7. My new lineup looks good. And Reggie has gone on a terror in those practice games or unofficial games.

Frank Tanana All-Stars Topple The Poopydicks, 21-13
DEE-NEE CITY - Powered by a ten-run eighth inning, The Frank Tanana All-Stars handed The Poopydicks a 21-13 defeat on Tuesday night at Tengen Stadium, giving the Doverbi Division leaders their second consecutive loss after a 5-0 start.
Mark McGwire homered twice and drove in five to pace The Frank Tanana All-Stars (3-4), while Gary Carter also drove in five. Andre Dawson's two home runs and five RBI were not enough for The Poopydicks (5-2) to overcome some terrible defense and another poor outing by their bullpen.
Despite remaining on top of their division at the midway point of the season, some Poopydicks fans in attendance on Tuesday night were not pleased.
"This season is fucking over - there's no way that this group of spineless pussies can ever recover," said Matt Bainesby, a Poopydicks fan attending the game with his child and a 24-pack of Sportz. "I mean, Kevin Mitchell takes a ball off his face, so he runs off the motherfucking field like the bitch and makes the god damned right fielder pick up the ball? What a piece of shit. This is the biggest choke job I've seen since January. What a bunch of cock gobbling cum dumpsters."
Bainesby then flashed a sideways "peace" sign before passing out into the beer fountain that flows past the center field seats at Tengen Stadium. He was later pulled out by Tengen Stadium security and pronounced to be "fucking blitzed".
Wow, we've lost two in a row. Getting knocked off the high horse. Not nearly as upset as our awesome fans but not happy to say the least. We'll get it back together, just a little bump in the road.
What happened to the PoopyDicks explosive offense? Brenly killed you guys.
Cox looked good, big daddy looked like his normal self.
I guess the PoopyDicks have yet to recover since The Empire demolished them.
Looks like the season is starting to pick up some drama with a lot of ball left.
In other news, Reggie Jackson and Will Clark hit 3 home runs apiece in an intra-squad game. Sandberg had three hits and he is very excited to get his first start.
Darth Vader's Empire vs Hitler's Nazis coming up soon. And another shitty day is in order for Nahco.
Cox was impressive in his debut with the All Stars. gg me.
The Nimrods @ The Coprophiliacs game is complete. Game video is attached.
Vince Coleman sucks....
Blyleven sucks....
Coprophiliacs.....SUCK!
Coprophiliacs need a baserunning clinic. Always freeze on a line drive. Tough way to lose getting doubled up and killing the tying run. Corbett seemed nervous out there.
Great game with a lot of hitters choking in the clutch. I thought it was going to be a quicky with the Nimrods jumping out to a 7-0 lead, but the Coprops showed some heart. This game was good for the Empire and GDavis.
The Nimrods Nip The Coprophiliacs, 13-12
DEE-NEE CITY - Doug DeCinces' two-out double in the top of the ninth inning gave The Nimrods a dramatic 13-12 victory over The Coprophiliacs in a Gantry Division game played Friday afternoon at Tengen Stadium.
The Coprophiliacs (3-4) had a chance to tie or win in the bottom of the ninth, after Dave Bergman doubled with one out. But Scott Garrelts was able to get Keith Hernandez to line out to short and double up Bergman for the game-saving double play for The Nimrods (3-4).
"I thought that we were running slow for most of the game, but we seemed to pick up at the end," said Nimrods manager Ultimate7 after the game. "There were a lot of guests watching the game in the stands, so that might have been slowing us down somehow."

The Hip Young Popes at Attarack game is complete. Game video is attached.
i cant wait
omg....Tommy Herr went deep.......twice.
What a great game that went into extra innings.
The OC had a hard-on to trade for gaetti recently, and i told em to shove it. he responds with a 4-4 game.
perhaps the OC could show some interest in Coleman to get his ass in gear for us as well.
Hip Young Popes Hold Off Attarack in Extra Innings, 21-20
DEE-NEE CITY - Darryl Strawberry's three-run home run in the top of the tenth inning proved to be the difference as The Hip Young Popes pulled out a 21-20 victory over Attarack in a Doverbi Division game played Sunday night at Tengen Stadium.
Attarack (3-4) closed to within one run in the bottom of the tenth, and had Tom Herr on second as the potential tying run with two outs before Todd Worrell was able to get Willie Randolph to ground out to preserve the win for The Hip Young Popes (3-4).
Attarack manager Attezabol, acting solo since the unexplained absence of his co-owner Racktacular, seemed unconcerned and distracted after the game.
"When Tom Herr played no shot to Baylor in the third over, I thought we had a chance, but when Randolph went not out to Worrell's spinner, it was all for naught," Attezabol said after the game. "Wait, is this India? Where are the wickets? Where am I? Oh well, at least I had tea and ladyfingers. And oh yeah, death to America."
Strawberry and Bill Madlock each homered twice for The Hip Young Popes, while Baylor led all players with six RBI. Tim Laudner homered and drove in five in defeat.

The Empire @ CommieHitlers game is done. Video is attached.
That was a much closer game that would be expected after watching the first inning.
Regardless, I got fucking pwned. My life's a joke.
abandoning my team was the best move the fantasy RBI league has ever seen.
Post Game Conference
Despite The Empire's victory over the CommieHitlers, today's win was totally unacceptable and not indicative of Empire style baseball. Today's weak victory was reminiscent of the Battle of Hoth. We lacked the killer instinct to put away the CommieHitlers and lay the mercy rule on them.
The Empire was fully prepared thanks to our advanced scouting as we came out ready to play in the first inning and demonstrated our power and skill to the Fantasy League. However, I noticed some very disturbing events that took place after the first inning. This type of action will not be tolerated in our program. Changes will be imminent. This kind of performance will not cut it against rebel forces GDavis, our nemesis.
Q: Lord Darkside, Do you consider the trade a success? Reggie Jackson went 4-6 and Will Clark went 1-5 and they combined for one RBI. Also, how would you assess Ryne Sandberg's 1-5 performance in his first start?
A: Reggie and Will fit perfectly with The Empire. They have enormous expectations on them. I strongly feel that they will soon pay huge dividends as they get more at bats and get comfortable with their transition.
As far as Sandberg is concerned, he will not start next game. He was clearly distracted with the presence of his number one stalker in the stands, Ryno. I do not accept players having their heads in the stands for the majority of the game. Walling will start in his place next game.
Q: You just mentioned that changes are imminent, can you go into detail? Are you going to make more trades?
A: You will address me as Lord Vader. I am a Dark Lord of the Sith. In answer to your question, no comment.
Q: You were seen in the dugout in the 8th inning by using the dark side of the Force to choke nomaa, stopping only when Imperial leader Grand Moff Tarkin intervened. Something out of character on your part during game time. There are also rumors that you lashed out at nomaa after the game in the clubhouse in front of the players as well as destroying his homework with you lightsaber. Can you expand on that?
A: After the first inning, I sensed a disturbance in the Force. I elected to pay a visit to the clubhouse to see what was going on. To my dismay, during the 8th inning coach nomaa was speaking on his cell phone to high school friends of a 3 keg party to celebrate the victory when the game was still very tight. The Darkside will not tolerate such actions. He will be disciplined further and his punishment is pending on what my master says. He does not know the power of the Darkside.
Q: How would you respond to an anonymous prediction that The Empire will be defeated by Ewoks?
A: I am strong with the Force. I am trained in the ways of the Force. Things are going perfectly according to our plans. I find your lack of faith disturbing.
No further questions. May the Force bless our Galactic Empire.

The Empire Fends Off The CommieHitlers, 16-12
DEE-NEE CITY - Don Mattingly homered twice to lead The Empire to a less-than-inspiring 16-12 victory over The CommieHitlers on Tuesday afternoon at Tengen Stadium. The Empire (5-2) won despite almost blowing an early 8-0 lead.
"This is the problem we have," said Empire manager Dark Side after the game, "is that we blast it hard early but then we shoot our load too early. We need to do something to extend our offensive explosions and not become flaccid too soon. Like a penis pump for our offense."
Jose Canseco broke out of an early-season slump with two home runs for the CommieHitlers (3-4), but seemed distracted after the game.
"Honestly, I'm just disappointed that they didn't select me to be on Dancing With The Stars," Canseco said. "I totally could have rumbaed better than John Ratzenberger! Plus, I'm also depressed because, due to the massive amounts of steroids, HGH and horse pituitary glands that I take, my testicles have now completely receded."

Week 7 spreadsheet attached
Note that the Traded players show team only stats on the current team page, but combined stats on the "Batters" or "Pitchers" pages, this is so that I can easily keep team stats.

No quarrels there. But more at bats are needed to fully make an accurate assessment.
Now Walling will be given an opportunity to play his first game for The Empire. It is not a sink or swim situation. I have stated earlier that Walling and Sandberg will be platooning for an undetermined period.
ryno has agreed to join The Empire.
He shall assume duties as the Assistant General Manager, Director Of Player Development, Executive Consultant, and Hitting Coach.
We feel that nomaa will learn from this past experience and use it as a tool for his evolution to a Jedi Knight as well as coach The Empire to a Fantasy Championship.
We have set very high demands for our disciple but we believe in him very much like Morpheus believed in Neo.
We understand that he is raw and young and that he is trying to be one with The Force. He is a players coach and is able to bring in the high school muff to take the edge off our players. Considering his experience and young age in RBI years, he has done an impressive job.
May The Force bless our Empire.
OK week 7 spreadsheet really attached now
I have Carter, Schmidt, CDavis, McGwire, and Maldanado and my team is last in slugging. Jesus.
we'll take mcwire or schmidt off your hands.
