My bad once again. For some reason, I had recorded  that the Nimrods beat AttaRack in Week 5.

THE OC AVOIDS COLLAPSE AGAINST THE NIMRODS

DEE-NEE CITY - Wally Joyner's solo home run in the top of the 10th inning proved to be the difference as The OC escaped Tengen Stadium with a 12-11 victory over The Nimrods on Tuesday night in a Gantry Division clash.

The Nimrods (4-5) rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth off of OC (4-5) closer Bob Stanley. But Eric Davis popped out with two outs and two runners on to send the game into extra innings. Stanley allowed a lead-off single to Kent Hrbek in the bottom of the 10th but retired the next three batters to seal the victory.

"To be honest, I didn't think I was going to be needed out there, so I went over to the concession stand," Stanley said after the game. "I'm sitting there with a Churro, a Red Vine and a Mr. Pibb when all of the sudden I hear the bullpen phone ringing. I tried to pretend like I wasn't there, but the stupid bullpen catcher answered it and tracked me down. I had to scarf everything down on my walk to the mound - they don't even have those carts with the helmets! - and I had real bad gas for the whole ninth inning. Once I ripped  a few ones between innings, I was fine."

Joyner homered twice for The OC. Meanwhile, The Nimrods failed to homer but did pound out 21 hits thanks to a balanced attack.

Gedman and Hendrick hit 3 foul balls in the 10th that could have all been big hits but were just foul

Great game. Gooden was dealing. Wally and Terry torched the nimrods. Good comeback on the nimrods part....I can't believe the nimrods had no home runs. Both teams now at 4-5 and very much in it. However, TBG will soon have to change his avatar signature cause The Empire is winning it all.

What a fuckin game. Both teams fought till the end. All you guys needed was a field goal in the years highest scoring game. The Empire was the better team, and the better team won.

It feels nice to sweep the Crops. Gives us better positioning in first place.

The Empire Outslugs The Coprophiliacs, 26-24

DEE-NEE CITY - Will Clark's three-run home run in the top of the ninth broke a 22-22 tie and propelled The Empire to a 26-24 victory over The Coprophiliacs in a Fantasy RBI league game played on Thursday afternoon at Tengen Stadium.

The Coprophiliacs (4-5) had a chance to rally for the victory, after Keith Hernandez's two-run home run closed the gap to two. However, Darrell Evans grounded into a double play with Jim Rice on first for the first two outs of the inning. and Andres Gallarraga grounded out with runners on second and third to end the game.

"I don't care how he spells his name, but I'll tell you how I spell his name: S-U-C-K," said Coprophiliacs manager GoReds after the game. "There's a reason why his slap-hitting ass is on the bottom of the bench."

Clark and Wade Boggs each homered twice for The Empire (6-3), with Boggs also driving in six.

The Hip Young Popes Outslug The Frank Tanana All-Stars, 31-30

DEE-NEE CITY - Bill Madlock belted three home runs and drove in seven as The Hip Young Popes outlasted The Frank Tanana All-Stars 31-10 on Monday afternoon at Tengen Stadium in the wildest Fantasy RBI League game played in quite some time.

The Hip Young Popes (4-5) looked to have the game well in hand after taking a 15-5 lead after scoring 11 runs in the second inning. But The Frank Tanana All-Stars (3-6) showed their moxie by rallying with 11 runs of their own over the next two innings. They eventually had a three run lead in the ninth inning before The Hip Young Popes scored six to take the lead, including a pinch-hit, three-run home run by Rafael Santana to take the lead for good.

Besides Madlock, the other offensive stars for The Hip Young Popes were Jeffrey Leonard and Marc Sullivan, who each homered twice. Sullivan continued to defy expectations that lead to The Hip Young Popes being the laughing stock of the draft for selecting him as their starting catcher.

"What people don't realize it that I'm rock star, and that means I'm better than most people," said Hip Young Popes owner and GM Gerlost, relaxing in his portable hot tub with the female members of the Greenville College cheerleading squad following a post-game concert. "Not everyone...there's rdub, and Bono, and maybe Jesus. But I doubt it, since I don't think Jesus could have the foresight to draft Stinky Sullivan."

Gerlost was distracted by the fact that the sandwiches in the post-show spread had crusts on them, causing a 20-minute, expletive-filled tirade.

Mike Schmidt had a breakout game for the Frank Tanana All-Stars, with three home runs and six RBI. Chili Davis added two bombs.

Gerlost has found a way to get the most out his not so flashy players. I mean, fuckin Santana goes deep, Buckner,S. Owen and Sullivan are cleary over achieving this year. Takes guts to put together that top heavy mets-sox lineup. Gerlost must have seen something in his garbage players that other did not. Too bad they are not consistent every game. But kudos to Gerlost for still staying alive with that kind of bottom of the lineup and bench pinch hitters.

Morris Leads Attarack to Convincing Victory Over CommieHitlers

DEE-NEE CITY - Jack Morris threw a complete game, including a scoreless final six innings, to lead his plucky Attarack squad to a 12-4 victory over The CommieHitlers on Wednesday at Tengen Stadium to assume sole possession of the second and final playoff spot in the Doverbi Division.

Tim Laudner hit a three-run homer for Attarack (5-4), which never looked back from there. But it was Morris who was the star, as he faced only 20 batters in the final six innings despite fading stamina. After the game, Morris attributed the team's success to it's self-reliance.

"Basically, we don't have any managers," Morris said. "Rack has been missing for months, and Attezz has been in 'deep mourning' since Galatasary lost to Besiktas in March - whatever that means - and won't come to the stadium. So, we basically just go out there, play and set our own rosters and substitutions. It's been the most fun I've ever had playing baseball."

Jose Canseco's home run was the lone bright spot for The CommieHitlers (4-5).

GDavis Crushes Poopydicks in Five Innings, 18-6

DEE-NEE CITY - Greg Gagne homered and drove in five runs to lead GDavis to an emphatic 18-6 victory in five innings over The Poopydicks on Tuesday at Tengen Stadium in a match-up of the two Division leaders. However, with the loss, The Poopydicks fell into a first-place tie with Attarack at the top of the Doverbi Division standings.

"This is completely unacceptable," said Poopydicks co-owner Gantry Zettler after the game. "We are not going to fall out of this race. If it looks like we're going to miss the playoffs, then I'll be forced to take drastic measures, even if that means that NO ONE makes the playoffs. Even if this means shutting off the server PERMANENTLY, if you know what I mean."

Zettler then laughed maniacally and twirled his non-existent handlebar mustache.

The Poopydicks (5-4) jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after one-half inning on solo home runs by Ruppert Jones and newly-acquired Reggie Jackson. They stretched their lead to 6-1 before GDavis (6-3) scored 11 runs in the fourth inning to blow the game open. This included six runs scored with two outs.

I even know how to watch it in high speed, and I am not the computer nerd. That button with one arrow going one way and another arrow going the other way.....just above the Caps Lock.

Most of the owners are showing zero enthusiasm towards the Fantasy League. I think it is the best thing that has ever happened in the history of mankind.

And about Walling. How in the fuck that bastard get two hits with a bomb? I ran like 20 practice games with the same exact fantasy rom when he was with the Empire, and he never had more than one hit....and never went deep.
I guess magic happens with the Fantasy Rom. The spirit of the Fantasy Rom can never be predicted.

GDavis, don't even think that you will win the Gantry Division. We know how to pitch your big and slow guys.
