Doran is on thin ice. The dude is hitting .167 (2-12) from the 8 hole. I like his speed and I know he can hit much better. He needs to stop putting too much pressure on himself. If he does not perform tonight, Buckner will get his chance. Buckner can hit, but his speed can also kill us.

Big game versus PBR for the Rebel Alliance...  Marty Barrett's got a chance to step up and be a hero here, let's see how he responds...

Marty Barrett sucks, and so do you...

Ass-n-Titties (aka Gibson & Joyner) are on double-secret probation, we already have plans to move them down in the lineup if they don't perform

Marty helped the Empire win some big games last year. Under the radar player, FACT! He was third in the league in triples last year, FACT.

PBR @ RA = game of the week

Take care of business Ryno, I need the Alliance to drop one.

Good showing by the Sally Cunts.  The bottom of the order is really producing.  Add to that two triples and a double from the pitcher's spot, well done.

I'm finding the lack of production from Murphy and Raines disturbing, however.

Clark and Jackson have been utter shit this year. Ozzie Smith has been more productive than them both combined.  Smith is having a pretty decent year, but still......

Jeff "likes to take it up the" Reardon really blew this game.

We just could not hit tonight. The whole lineup is in a funk. We've avoided a lot of double plays and tag outs/throw outs on the bases, and that is what has kept the scores close in the last two games. I think your team had a few tag outs Turd, but made up with it with the power.

There were no huge innings with our game Turd. I think the most anyone scored in an innings was 3 runs. Our pitching is doing fine, but our offense has disappeared when I need them the most. I don't know if any changes are in order, but time is running out on this lineup.

Also, here is my list of overrated players:

R.Jackson (was traded twice in season IV)---the dude just does not put up mammoth numbers that one would expect.

Hrbek - he can have big nights, but he can disappear.

Gibson - Very inconsistent and you'd expect him to do more with his parameters. He's still solid, but he rarely has huge games.

Will Clark - can't put my finger on it, but he is inconsistent as well.

Gaetti - same as the above

My team is in a horrible sophomore slump.

My low-expectations team made it to the postseason last year with me as a rookie manager, but unfortunately we've yet to find the same spark without Marky Mark and co.

Alliance edges Blue Ribbons in a pitcher's duel

Madison (AP) - With the score even at 9, Lmbrdz tripled to lead off the bottom of the 8th inning to ignite a 3 run inning that proved to be enough for the victory.

With one out and Lmbrdz at third base in the bottom of the 8th inning, T.Herr hit a pinch hit triple which was followed by another triple that Trammel smacked and E.Davis then hit a single to give the Alliance a 12-9 lead going into the top of the 9th inning.

Shrld pitched a scoreless 9th to pick up the save and seal the victory.

The Rebel Alliance now move into sole possession of first place in the Dove RBI Division and marks the first time that the Empire has not been in first place in 26 weeks.

The Pabst Blue Ribbons wasted some key opportunities with runners in scoring position, but a lot of credit should go to Morris and Cox who pitched out of some jams. Despite losing their first game of the year, the Pabst Blue Ribbons remain in first place in the Gantry Division.

The Pabst Blue Ribbons record 6 game winning was finally snapped.

Pabst Blue Ribbons 3-1, (3-0)
Rebel Alliance 3-1, (2-1)

Ulrachers bullpen limits Badasses in tight victory

Oklahoma City (AP) - D.Gooden, Corbet, and S.Grelts pitched effectively in relief as they limited the Awesome Badasses to 4 runs off 9 hits from the 5th to the 9th inning and the Ulrachers got just enough offense to hang on for a Gantry League victory 13-11.

The difference came in the top of the 6th inning. Hendrk hit a 3 run shot that violently ricocheted off the scoreboard and capped a 5 run inning to give the Ulrachers a 13-7 lead which they would never relinquish in the contest.

The Awesome Badasses inched closer in the bottom half of the 6th innings with 3 runs and scored another in the bottom of the 8th inning to narrow the Ulracher lead to 13-11, but that would be as close as they would come. S.Grelts pitches a scoreless 9th to earn the save and help his team move into a first place tie with the Blue Ribbons and Sally Cunts.

Fighting Ulrachers 3-1, (3-1)
Awesome Badasses 1-3, (0-3)

Sally Cunts blank OC Legions of Doom down the stretch to earn victory

Minneapolis (AP) - The Sally Cunts got excellent long relief out of Sbrhgn and lights out pitching from their bullpen and just enough offense to defeat the slumping OC 14-11 on a beautiful spring like day at Fidel Reagan Freedom Gulag Stadium.

Sbhrgn only allowed 2 runs off 2 hits in long relief in keeping the OC hitters off balance with his drop balls. D.Smith pitched a brilliant scoreless 8th inning and King picked up the save as he retired the side in order in the 9th. Together, the three pitchers impressively combined to limit the OC to 2 runs and only 3 hits in five innings of relief work.

The Sally Cunt pitchers combined to go 3-4 with three triples and a double which seemed to set owners TBG and BeefMaster in a violent rage in the dugout.

The OC long relief and bullpen also pitched masterfully as they only allowed 2 runs after the 4th inning, but their highly touted powerful offense has yet to hit their stride.

The Sally Cunts now move into a three way tie for first place in the Gantry Division.

OC Legions of Doom 1-3, (0-3)
Sally Cunts 3-1, (2-1)

Poopydicks use 10 run explosion in the 8th to overpower Fighting Artichokes

Phoenix (AP) - The loud and echoing boos of 82,000 frustrated fans filled the Turd Bowl throughout the Dove RBI divisional game between the Poopydicks and Fighting Artichokes. There was not much to cheer about as the Poopydicks were flat at the plate. That all changed in the bottom of the 8th inning.

J.Reardn came in to protect an 8-6 lead in the bottom of the 8th inning, and disaster struck.

The Poopydicks tattooed Reardn for 8 straight hits to start the inning and continued the onslaught as they scored 10 runs to go up 16-8. That was more than enough for Senior Smoke to work with and pick up the win.
Bush came off the bench in the 8th inning and picked up 2 hits and 4 RBI---one of them a two run blast in his second at-bat of the inning.

The Poopydicks got great pitching in the last three innings as they allowed no runs and kept the game close.

The Artichokes got excellent pitching from SP N.Ryan and long relief pitcher B.Ojeda, but Reardn's dismal outing erased that solid effort.

The two teams will play each other again in week 5 at Fort Dodge Park.

Fighting Artichokes 1-3, (1-2)
Poopydicks 2-2, (2-1)

K.Hrndz delivers walk-off shot, Banana Hammocks get first franchise win

Milwaukee (AP) - With the score narrowed up at 9 in the bottom of the ninth inning, and with Jerry Seinfeld on his feet encouraging his idol K.Hrndz at the plate, K.Hrndz drilled the first pitch he saw into the bleachers as the Banana Hammocks captured their first franchise FRBI victory in dramatic fashion at a rocking Quinlan Park on a cold brisk evening.

The game did not offer much hitting, but there was no shortage of suspense. The Banana Hammocks blew a 10-7 lead in the top of the ninth when Leonard and Donnie Baseball each homered in the inning to even the score. It looked like the winless Hammocks would find yet another way to lose. However, with one out, Dayley made two tough consecutive outs in getting Gaetti and Heath to line out and escape the inning with the score tied up going into the bottom of the ninth.

With Jerry Seinfeld on his feet along with the rest of the 58,000 boisterous and drunken spectators,  Andre the Hawk Dawson drilled a F.Rbnsn pitch for a double and set the stage for K.Hrndz. Rbnsn tried to sneak an inside fastball on Hrndz, but Hrndz turned on the pitch and delivered a walk-off shot to defeat the defending FRBI champions. Hrndz was captured by the cameras during his homerun trout smiling and pointing in the direction of Jerry Seinfeld.

The loss to the Galactic Empire moves the two time defending Dove RBI champions down into second place, the first time they have not occupied first place since season IV---26 consecutive weeks which is a FRBI record.

"Our guys took the game too lightly with the last place team and may have been looking forward to playing our arch-rivals next week, the Sally Cunts. I don't know if we have recovered from our shocking collapse to the Awesome Badasses last week as well. But I can assure you that the Sally Cunts will bear the burden of our frustrations" - said a disappointed Darkside to a group of swarming reporters. "Give the Banana Hammocks and owner Turd credit for winning the game, they deserved it with their gutsy performance and not being intimidated by our mystique" - stated Darkside.

Galactic Empire 2-2, (2-1)
Banana Hammocks 1-3, (1-3)
