:D
Also obviously qualifies for WATN update for Fernando.
I'm just sayin'. :-\
Just clarfying, Fernando Valenzuela played in Mexican Pacific League, which play in winter. Mexican League is the summer league in Mexico. :)
Cheers
could be...I double checked my source (baseball america) and it is listed as "Mexican League." In fact, my original post is a cut and paste...
Holy shit. He's still playing?

Real RBIers never die they just...(go to Mexico, apparently).
it is so fun pitching with Fernando, he can be impossible to hit if you can get him in the zone
Does anyone know if Fernando is going to pitch in the regular Mexican League? Otherwise, I'll have to say Mexican Pacific League which just doesn't look right to me...

Rough outing for Nando, but he'll be back...

I dunno why, but I like to post Fernando's results:

Joe, what's the link to the site where you are getting his box scores? Are you posting just the bad outings? Has he had any decent outings?
Baseball America has a service where they will email you the box scores of select prospects throughout the regular season; in the offseason, they send the box scores of select prospects/players in the winter leagues.
I post all of the Fernando box scores that I get...not just the bad ones. I wanna see a good outing as much as the next fella. :-\
...also, the very first post was a quality outting...
Here's that "good" outing that Ultimate was rooting for:
--------------------- Mexican League ---------------------
TM PITCHERS IP H R ER BB K HR ERA
--- F.Valenzuela(L,0-1) 4.2 6 3 0 0 2 0 0.00
Too bad the "good" outing was still a loss. Three unearned runs? Sounds like too many BOPs. C'mon defense, help Nando out!
BOPS are random--you know that, man.

Yeah, but he must've been pitching for Detroit.
His fielders were probably trying to throw the ball too quickly. Oh wait...
Good outing for Fernando, do they ever give a total ERA instead of game-by-game?
no, they don't. that's stupid, isn't it?
It's hard for Fernando's defense to field the ball cleanly, when the center fielder, short stop, and second baseman all move in unison with him on a grounder up the middle
It sure is... Though we could take the 30 seconds are use a calculator, but I'd rather sit and complain...

This one is kind of screwy cause that's not his ERA for the game
According to Baseball America (http://www.baseballamerica.com/today/Stats/stats_MPL_mex.shtml):
2 wins, 2 losses
6.75 ERA

Sorry, I worded that poorly we alreay have a section on the WATN for Second Generation RBI'ers (http://dee-nee.com/rbi/wherearetheynow.shtml#2NDGEN), almost time for an addition. My bad...

Are any MLB'ers currently in said league?
Not sure about currently. But, last year Vinny Castilla and probably about six others played in the Mexican league championship game. Along with a ton of minor leaguers and former minor leaguers.
Not sure if Mexican Pacific League is the highest Mexican league though.

Calvin Pickering is the best name in baseball.
I believe Mike Defelice played against the Clippers when we saw them in C-Bus...But it could of been when I saw the Mets AA team play.
