Good luck with your league, at some point I will get a good internet connection at home so I can play some online.
Are the uniforms in the poll the same ones you use in the league? If so I think your editor has access to some colors that Nighwulf doesn't have.

This just in,
JoeDirt= (http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/gallery/kilauea/erupt/24ds331_M.jpg)
Is Joe Dirt actually Andre Rison? (He was left eye's boyfriend, right? If he wasn't, feel free to edit this post as necessary)
The league sounds fucking sweet though
the legend of joe dirt continues to groh (insert pic of al groh)
Joe Dirt is a flaming home. . . . hmmm. . . . . is this some sub conscious way of me trying to say that I think that Joe Dirt is hot?
No way, man.
I do apologize for screwing up this perfectly good RBI league thread.
You guys should use this as evidence of why you should never allow me in your league.
That, and the fact that I'm terrible at RBI. . . . or so says the Flaming Home of Dee Nee.
how many tries will it take Ryno to spell homo right?!
by the way--I'm not a "home" or a "homo," not that there's anything wrong with it. :)

Oh, you'rea home buddy. . . . .you're a real home. . . . . . whatever that means
I hope that Ryno and JoeDirt never actually get together...just like when Bruce and Maddy got together on "Moonlighting", it will ruin the chemistry.

It should be noted that while Joe is very good, better than all of us regulars, he did get 4th at the 2004 COTUT.
I was already laughing when I saw the original flaming home post, BeeJay's picture had co-workers trying to figure out what was so funny.

His 4th place finish was a fluke.
It was one tourney. . . over the course of a lifetime, Flaming Joe has proven himself to be the best.
To summarize Ryno's point: "Results don't matter, just my beliefs."
Hmm, must be a Cubs fan.
Ultimate, how about a nice hot cup of shut the fuck up? You love to bring this point up, don't you?!
Fact is--Riley won it all. Fact is, Riley widely and openly acknowledges that he and I are equals. Fact is, when you get to the level we're at (throw in Foster and Beales, while you're at it), it all comes down to who's hot at that particular time...sorta like the ncaa tourney.

So you are in a 4 way tie for best player in the world?
No, I finished 4th fair and square. I'm just saying that between the four of us, the final order could probably be in any given order at any given time. I'd think it comes down to who's hot at said given time.
Think about this: Foster has been dominating vs. Beales in the last two tourneys. Beales beat me in our 5 game series. Riley held Foster to like 2 runs in their first series. I recently took 7 of 9 games from Riley...
It all depends on who's hot during time of play. I know there's times when I can't seem to throw a pitch that Riley doesn't hit for a homer; and there's certainly been times when he can't get anything past me, either...
Bump...
What an absolute joke of a league this is...
Here's a recap, Purple Cobras (the commisoner guy) beats up on teams 30+ to -10 routinely, I beat him 34-4, he has a GIANT problem with it, he refuses to put my win on the 'league standings' so I write a post about it (another team quit after going down 14-0 in the third, which, according to the league rules should have resulted in a suspension), I also don't get credit for that win...The game before I beat the Cobras by the "thirty run rule" he beat me in a close game with NO LAG WHATSOEVER, the next game (thirty run rule game) there was again, NO LAG AT ALL, when the other team quit I had MAYBE one illegitimate hit
These guys fucking suck at RBI, and Purple Cobras is a crybaby (once I went up like 15, he stopped talking in the "network play" box, and refused to return my instant messages, I come to see today that I've been "ejected from the league"
What a fucking joke that league is, I encourage everyone to stay away from it if they want to seriously play RBI.
Another few things that should be noted (and bear in mind I only was able to play five games)...The teams are based on real teams (I'm the Orioles, someone is the Yankees, Braves, etc.) however, the C(rybabies)obras gave themselves Smoltz as a lefty, someone else has Pedro Martinez as a lefty (The "Vice President" of the league), it's just rampant cheating, Johnny Estrada is faster than Brian Roberts (!!!!) as is Andruw and Chipper Jones, and the commisioner refuses to post all the attributes that he used on the rom...
So yeah, stay the fuck away from this league unless you want to be in a league and compete with a bunch of douches

I'm not very computer savvy, I'd post the rom, but it's in ".ace" form, so it won't let me...I'll fuck around with it and see if there's a way I can change it to another format (But like I said, I'm really not too good with computer stuff)
If you want, try emailing the file to me. (My email is in my profile). If I am able to load it, I will send you all the attributes in an excel file.
Awesome, another online RBI controversy and Joseph Ady is not involved (as far as we know). They must have a different editor/file format than Nightwulf, I still like the colors they we able to use.
I don't know all the details of this said shady character so do not want to prejudge. However, I think it is very odd for a commish to not be transparent with the ROM. Sometimes, mistakes are made as well.
Myself and JoeDirt have also made some mistakes in our ROMs for the Str8 pitch league ROMs and it is only fair to be transparent.
I don't think I would join any RBI league where I could not view the attributes. Why is it such a secret?
I was in the league as the Cardinals but the only times I got asked to play I had to turn down because they were during one of my fantasy drafts and during the NC-Illinois game. Next thing I know I was on a list of people being removed from the league because they didn't show any signs of wanting to play.
From what you say though Attez, looks like I didn't miss much.

I've decided to just continually trash that kid until I get some answers (not likely), I've posted several (respectful) posts on his 'league forum' all of which have been deleted a few hours after they were posted...
Among other things, if you look at the site, everything is about him and how great he is (He's like the Murphy Brown of the RBI World)...
I wish he would have sent me the 'game video' of his beatdown, after I went up a ton, he started pretending there was lag (literally, perfect on run downs and perfect hitting wise for him, but all of a sudden he's terrible elsewhere in the field), when I asked him in the network box "Why are you pretending there's lag" he didn't respond, and he never signed back onto AIM (although chances are he blocked me), I know he reads the forum (this forum) so chances are he read this (just not logged in), so, if he decides, I'd like for him to stop being a little bitch and to come here and defend himself...
Another post to come shortly
Alright, done and done
I've uploaded the league's rom to nightwulf editor (I feel so damned smart) and it's been saved as "McGrath's super rom" (Thanks Beej) so for anyone who wants to see it, Purple C(heater)obras is the first team, I'm the "North Stars" the last team listed, if anyone wants to check it out...
He changes (updates) the rom every few days, this is just the last one I have from two days ago or so, the night that caused the 'ejection' and tears to flow down his face, now it's off to get drunk and play Dreamcast
I compared your team with his, and I can't believe how much better he made the Braves. He's got way more power, and every one of his guys has decent speed.
By the way, awesome uniforms. I've wanted a North Stars jersey for years, but when the retro craze hit I decided I'd better wait a while longer.
First off, that jackass of a retard has no clue what he's talking about....
Let's see here... C. Jones- 128, A. Jones 134 and J. Estrada 126 speeds
B. Roberts- 146
Hey dumbass, how bout u check the attributes before you post BS that says they are inacurate.. oh and by the way, I dont know whats in your crackpipe cuz Smoltz is a righty on my game retard...
Your family should be disgraced that they gave birth to you ya piece of shit.... quit trying to ruin my league with 9 loyal players who have no problems... ur the only ones with problems
Thanks bitch,
Tommy (PREZ)
One more thing... no disrespect to anyone on this forum except Attezoball.. he deserves disrespect... but havent you guys noticed that the BRAVES are WAY better than the fucking ORIOLES.... i mean come on, it's common sense... look at every damn sports website and see that the BRAVES are picked as the 3rd best in the league behind the Yanks/Sox.... where are the ORIOLES??? 12th, 15th.... i think u get it....
well, just wanted to say that theres no cheating going on in my league and if ur name isnt Attezobal10 then just join the next one so i can prove it....
Thanks,
Tommy (PREZ) 12-2 bitch!
Yup, I'm sure ABall made everything up. He's got nothing better to do anyway than lie about winning meaningless RBI games. Makes a ton of sense to me.
Tommy like wingie. ;)
As far as power numbers go, I'd argue that the Orioles are FAR superior to the Braves. Who do the Braves have besides Chipper and maybe Andruw Jones or even Marcus Giles? The Orioles lineup features Miguel Tejada, Raffy Palmeiro, Sammy Sosa, Melvin Mora and Brian Roberts. No fucking contest.
Very well done. You were given a chance to respond to some allegations and you made a complete ass out of yourself.
Oh, and those numbers aren't what is on the rom I saw. So unless the friendly, well spoken Attezzobal is lying, then you've changed the rom since he last played.
The Braves are the 3rd best team in the bigs?
It's possible that they aren't even the best team in their division.
Purple is gay, by the way.
I'm really drunk right now, but i guarantee i can complete sentences better than the "cobras"
First things first, after much prodding, you still haven't explained to me, or anyone why I was 'ejected' from the league, have you? (Rhetorical, bitch, no, you haven't)
Second, I uploaded the rom I have exactly as it was when you sent it to me via IM, you change the rom every day (I believe their was a 'big trade' after I got the rom I got, that trade isn't on the rom, now myself and another one of the "9 loyal owners" isn't even listed on the current rom)
So yeah, 9 loyal owners, one of whom (myself) was 'ejected' minutes after beating you 34-0 (which I still haven't been credited with the win) and two of which have yet to play a game, sounds like a really enjoyable league indeed...
To dee-nee, I've never had a prouder moment than returning fairly drunk and reading the three or so previous posts :)
Also, I've learned a few good ideas from this 'league' one, a "slurve" league could actually work pretty well (maybe after the straight pitch league is done?), especially if you set the ratings so that no sinker hits the plate? Also, if you make an 'online' rbi league with nothing but your few friends, your brother's friends, and maybe two people not from your town (to make it seem legit) you can make yourself out to be the greatest player ever, with no actual proof...Three, if you irritate someone enough they're answer and defend themself to the 30th percentile (without answering any of the actual questions), and four, Pedro Martinez is a lefty, and so is John Smoltz...
Also, no cheating?
How do you explain the 'big trade'
Purple Cobras get David Wells, David Ortiz and Kevin Millar, Bronco Busters get John Thomson, Ryan Langerhans and Nick Green, sounds fair, eh?
First off, perfectly fair trade... if Bronco wanted those players he got em, its his decidion.. if u dont notice he is 1-8, and yes, before you ask, he did have a printout of all the player's attributes.
Also, just because you can change numbers around on a ROM and send them to all of your buddies doesn't mean that's the numbers that are on the ROM.
Lastly, I never took anyone off any ROM and all 10 teams that started the league are still on the original...
If anyone has any problem believing me about the ROM, they can d/l it every damn day from the website and check the #s.
Thanks,
Tommy (PREZ)
http://rbionline.bravehost.com/rbiinfo.html
So why did you kick Azzenbol out?
Look Cobras, I played BroncoBusters last night when I got home and before I left again, he sent me the most up to date ROM (Which we couldn't use, because in place of my team and the AL slot team was the NL and AL)
And every damn day you have a different ROM uploaded to the site...You record all the games (at least you did), and I'd LOVE to see either game film (preferably from the one where I beat you 34-4, which also resulted in my ejection)...
Well, at least the May league is only a few weeks away, and I can't wait!!
Again, why was I ejected?
I still don't understand how people are scoring 30, I assume 10-run is turned off, but still 30 in slurve, is the other player consious?
Quote from: ultimate7 on 04/12/05, 01:22:31 PM
..., but still 30 in slurve, is the other player consious?
No shit. Using Network play, I could not imagine scoring 1/2 that many runs would be easy. Maybe all the power stats are exaggerated. I have noticed that once you get above ~975 in power numbers, balls are hit exponentially harder.
Finally looked at the ROM data, that guy really bumped up his pitchers curve ratings (which is probably very important for Slurve style), compare his pitchers with Baines(parish) and you'll see what I mean. Power numbers are about right, but he has really underrated Julio Franco which should be an automatic penalty.

Compare the power numbers between teams. The most powerful player in the game? Magglio Ordonez, with 936. For comparison, Pujols has 921. Ordonez hit a whopping 9 HR last year (in 53 games, but that still projects to less than 30 in a full season). Mike Cameron has more power (906!) than anyone on Attezzobal's Orioles, who also have Sammy saddled with an unbelievable 42 contact rating. He was bad (for him) last year, but not
that bad.
Weirdness: Baines' and Attezzobal's teams have higher power ratings for their pitchers (750 instead of 715 - they're more powerful than Julio).
Richie Sexson's last name is spelled wrong.
PurpleCobrasRBI, you never did answer most of Attezzobal's charges - all you did was attack the validity of the ROM he posted (somewhat relevant, I guess, although it's your word against his) and make unsubstantiated personal attacks (something that makes you look like you're trying to change the subject). You never did say exactly why Attezzobal was ejected. Also, the "trade" between you and the other guy was ridiculous. In a fantasy sports league, the other owners would have voted to reject the trade as unfair. The fact that the other guy agreed to it is immaterial - it's also unfair the everyone else in the league, because they have to play against your new superteam.
That's how a league is... other people cant make other people's decisions... and by the way, Magglio Ordonez was a mistake for 836 and i changed it when you brought it to my attention so thanks...
I don't understand why atezzobal cant wait until the may league, cuz he won't be in it, but if anyone wants to join, they can... they'll definately see a different league than Atezzobal explains it to be...
On second thought though, if Atezzobal can admit that there isn't anything wrong with my league and that it is perfectly fair, I may let him play the rest of this season and join up in May.... I don't hold personal grudges
Only one condition if u rejoin Atezzobal... to make the playoffs, you must have 10 games in.... if ur back in, you're 3-2 (Wins: Pc (2), Fu... Losses: Pc, En)... you'd still have 5 games left to play.... and against 3 different teams
It's your decision... i'm not trying to start some RBI war, I'm trying to make a solid league... i changed the ROM with Ordonez, but I'm keeping Franco weak, cuz he just dont have the power anymore.... he's on my team, so noone should really complain since noone really seems to like me at the moment...
Anybody else has major problems with the ROM, IM me... PurpleCobrasRBI (AIM)
Thanks,
Tommy (PREZ)
well, since you're the self acclaimed PREZ, can you explain why you booted Aball from the league? You seem to have no problem bashing him for no reason, so maybe you could finally say why he got kicked out. Or maybe you'd rather just keep rambling on and on nonsensically and promoting your greatness, since that's what you do best.
Purple Cobra should go to Columbus in June, so he can prove his greatness.
I still want to see the 34-4 whomping, and know why the score was not posted.
Is this true Cobra?
Also, (just because I like to be super redundant), why was Aball expelled from the league?
I am trying to remain neutral here, but I am siding more with ABall since you cannot answer the important questions.
QuoteThat's how a league is... other people cant make other people's decisions...
Except part of the point of a league structure is to ensure some level of fairness. For example, in the '70s the A's attempted to sell three of their best players to the Yankees and Red Sox, but the commissioner voided the deals, claiming they were not in the best interest of the league. Similar events happen all the time in fantasy sports, and they help ensure that one player can't take advantage of another player who is either stupid or out of contention. If your trading partner approached you with this deal, as commissioner you should have declined for the good of the league, and if you proposed the deal, shame on you.
Like Mike Schmidt for Terry Pendelton? :)
...Exactly right Beef. Also, any fantasy league you join has rules like this too. Otherwise, I could go in a league which has a draft with 2 other friends. We could work trades b/w the 3 of us to form a "Super Team", then just let the other 2 teams take last places, and split the cash (or whatever you are playing for).
Perhaps the reason the May league will be different is because of this whole discussion? I'm the (self proclaimed) Rosa Parks of RBI Baseball...
Based on the 'reinvite' to your league and the fact that you reason to answer the first and only real question that I've raised, do you admit that there was no real reason for me to be ejected other than your loss by thirty runs to me?
As for the other questions, for the most part (and I've only played four of the other teams) the guys aren't too great, you can steal on them non-stop, terrible at rundowns (on both sides), and pitch in easy to read patterns, it seems that at least 7 or so of the owners are completely new to RBI...And he set the 10 run rule at 30 runs, I believe I went up like 15 or so before he decided to start throwing the game so I'd just thirty run rule him and get it over with...
And no, your league isn't perfect...I've been the commissioner of several fantasy leagues (baseball and football), and if someone offered me a trade that lopsided in my favor, I always declined or vetoed it, that's the responsible thing to do...
I have no problem rejoining the league (I beat BroncoBusters last night in a 'non-league' game, he didn't seem to have a problem either), however, there's no way in hell I will apologize and claim that your league is run well, it potentially could be a good league, but it seems to me that the entire league is run to pat yourself on the back (Just read through the power rankings and 'hall of fame' page).
So I guess I'm back in, on one condition, you post all attributes of the rom when you update them (and even them out to make it accurate), and you explain to me, publicly, why I was ejected in the first place...Otherwise I will continue to call you a little bitch over and over until it becomes stale, then I will switch to calling you sir McDoucheAlot
K Atezzobal.... here it is....
I may have got a little carried away with the whole kicking out thing and it was def. wrong, but here's the thing. When you played your first game in the league against me, I noticed alot of your pitches (especially w/ 2 strikes already on the batter) were clearly balls and the league rule clearly states "Only strikes shall be thrown".... I had no intention of an ejection whatsoever I just thought you had troubles adjusting from the "anything goes" league you're in or what not... then when u played Elite Newbies, he said you struck him out on balls 4-5 times in that game.... then that game that was all out of wack b'tween me and you, i got so pissed from striking out on balls that I gave my cuzin the controller and said fuck it, i was disgusted... it wasn't just my decision, it was me, the secretary (Gb), and my friend (Fu)....
So i admit, it was wrong to kick you out BUT... there's 2 or 3 things to clear up here....
1.) I never took your team off the ROM.... or anyone else's... there's always been 10 teams!
2.) I don't know how you can diss SO much who beat you??
3.) One more time, Johnny Estrada doesn't come close to Roberts' speed (have no clue where you got that one)
Also, I've fixed about 4 things on the ROM since the season started, including that power blip on Ordonez.
Thanks,
Tommy (PREZ)
One more thing, May's league will definately be more organized.....
and can SOMEONE tell me how to get that goddamn text document so the players and their attributes ACTUALLY show up from NightWulf's???

I disagree with this. I firmly believe that teams should have the right to make bad trades. It's one thing if the league (or commissioner) suspects collusion, but to veto a trade because it isn't deemed "fair" or "even" for both parties is lame, in my opinion...
All the league games I've played, I've had a friend watching them with me (OctoFranco) because it's been between games of RBI and bottles of Labatt, it is tough to adjust to slurve, but not that tough, I put a lot of movement on my balls, as that's the best way to get ground outs/weak flies and the like, I also struck you guys out a decent amount, HOWEVER, that's because I'd set up inside and go outside (but rarely a ball, and when they were I always through one right down the middle as punishment), I'm not saying I didn't throw balls, because I probably did (but so did you guys), the difference was, I through more outside and across the plate, I really would like to see the game films so I could judge for myself, but obviously that's up to you...
Glad you fixed the ROM, and also glad you admitted you were in the wrong, it would have been nice if these issues had been brought to my attention while I was still in the league, but whatever, nothing was discussed with me and it took about three days of IMing you drunk bitching, and writing likewise drunken posts on your forum before finally coming public, and than another few days before actually getting an answer, but at least it came, and at least you wrote a few mature posts, and I look forward to more posts that don't sound like they're coming from a middle school comp lab.
I'm gonna be out of town for the next few days with my girl, but I'll be back Sunday if I'm back in the league and anyone wants a game or two.
(You guys need to work on your pitching, when you set up inside righty on righty, it doesn't always work throwing it straight down the middle, mix it up, you get into a pattern and are easily beaten)
Also, I have the pic of the 34-4 game, I'll see if I can upload it here tomorrow before I leave

Good response, thanks for responding and ironing everything out. Another positive for the RBI/Dee-Nee Community
alright, thats cool atezzobal....
and thank you JoeDirt, if an idiot makes an idiotic trade, let it be!
And in case anyone was wondering, the league has it's 8 players for the May League (2 new members since 2 of the guys didnt play ANY games this season).... If 2 more sign up, it will be a 10 team league, otherwise it will be 8.... if only one more signs up, too bad i'm not doing an odd number due to playoff disputes and other factors...
Also, I'm starting a thread on my website's forum with open and honest opinions of changes people think should be made on the ROM for May... the thread should be up tommorow or maybe Thursday, with the 8 teams and the players' attributes. All the changes you guys have to offer could be made by the time the May league starts (appx. May 8).
Thanks,
Tommy (PREZ)

Also, the "trade" between you and the other guy was ridiculous. In a fantasy sports league, the other owners would have voted to reject the trade as unfair. The fact that the other guy agreed to it is immaterial - it's also unfair the everyone else in the league, because they have to play against your new superteam.
I disagree with this. I firmly believe that teams should have the right to make bad trades. It's one thing if the league (or commissioner) suspects collusion, but to veto a trade because it isn't deemed "fair" or "even" for both parties is lame, in my opinion...
Did you see the trade? It seemed like fairly obvious collusion to me - three good Red Sox (including Papi) for three Atlanta bench players.
I agree that in general people should be allowed to make bad trades, but this seemed far too bad to be realistic. It's possible, too, that the other player was throwing in the towel, letting other people have his good players since he didn't care anymore, which to me also qualifies as collusion.
Atezzobal.... ur back in the league, hope u give forgiveness....
I have u as 3-2.... any questions just post it......
I dont have all your stats, becuase of the 15-0? win over GBBMSNUUP and the whomping on me... so if u have the pictures for those that'd be great!
Otherwise, we'll have to work something out!
OK, now to clear up some mixed up ALLOGATIONS.... BroncoBusters (RED SOX) offered me to trade Ortiz for 2 fast players (Langy and Green).... I don't do 2-for-1 deals in the league, so he threw in Millar and Wells for Thompson.... so basically there were 2 trades going on, just for even numbers... I wanted power, he wanted speed... that's it!
Also, I moved the playoffs up a bit so try to get the 10 games in by then... i only moved it up so there would be time to prepare for the BETTER May league....

As I've already mentioned to Attezzobal in person, I'm really surprised he's (at least nominally) returning to this league under any circumstances. Despite Cobras' attempts to act reconciliatory, the guy is still clearly a cheater and a liar. I was THERE for three of the N. Stars' games (1st, 4th, and 5th). Smoltz was most definitely a lefty (something I was the one who first pointed out). The fact that Cobras would come on here and explicitly deny this is mindboggling and smacks of childishness and dishonesty. That alone would be enough to keep me away from any future league run by this PREZ.
Plus it's also true (on the rom you guys played that 34-4 game, at least) that Estrada was keeping pace with Furcal. As for accusing Attezzobal of throwing numerous balls, that is more bullshit. He only ever threw a handful of balls (never for strike three, to my recollection), and made up for it every time by throwing a regular pitch down the middle afterward, whereas Cobras kept pitching as normal after throwing blatant balls.
Also, the screenshot of the aftermath of that 30-run blowout is here (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v346/brekenhov/heh.jpg).
And on an aside, Attezzobal and I were talking about this the other day, and I'm not sure whether the idea came from here or not, but I'd love to see a 10 player league where we'd just have a draft of all the original RBI players, but customize our team names/jerseys. Anything like that already been done/discussed? Always dreamt about having Baylor and Chili on the same team...

This is what our Str8 pitch league is like. Except we only did 8 teams so everybody had a team of good players. We have 2 more weeks to go and then the playoffs.
I assume everyone will not be coming back, but not sure. I also may be handing over the commish duties to someone else if a couple of compromises cannot be made in the pitching rules. I origianally wanted an actual Str8 pitch league (with no balls). I have no problem with knuckles as long as we can set there sinker ball settings to "0".
Time will tell.

And of course, trades require approval. :-X

I did not. I was more talking generalities than this specific situation. I was also responding to your earlier post, where you said that the league has the right to veto unbalanced trades.
Whatever, I'm done posting on this Forum... obviously everyone here just sides with whoever has posted the most and been around longest, so whatever.... if anyone wants to join the league they can IM me or E-Mail me... or if they want to they can post it on the Forum on my website...

OK, just quickly read through this thread and it looks like it is heading in the proper direction. Obviously both sides still have some bitterness but I say everyone should start with a clean slate. Start a fresh May league and come up with some concrete rules beforehand. Posting updated ROMs with their correlated stats file is a great start, and people shoul probably agree to ratings before the season starts.
As far as trades go, simply put it to a vote with the 8/10 members to see if they want trades to be approved by a majority. Let the majority decide so there is no bitterness...
Purple - are you still having trouble exporting the ROM data to text files? If so, give your steps and we'll try to help out.
Whatever happened before, let it go and start fresh. It seems like Az and purple are willing to do so, which is solid...
<sappy>This community is too small for infighting</sappy>
A second site with a second online league is great for Online RBI, lets make it work...

Where can I get one of these slates you speak of?
Right here buddy (http://search.ebay.com/slate_W0QQfkrZ1QQfromZR8), I think you'd look stunning in blue...
Back on track, any dee-nee members going to play in Purple's league? I think it would be a good idea, someone step up to the challenge and do so in a classy way. You still in for that league Az?
Thanks Gantry,
I'm glad I have the aproval of a hardcore RBI fan.... And yes, I have 2 openings left in the league so check out the website!
Thanks,
Tommy (PREZ)
No problem mate, you are doing good work with starting a league. It seems like you want to get the league going and are open to changes/criticism, which is good. Looks like both sides went a little overboard and nobody is bitter, which is key...
I personally am doing a shitty job keeping up with the league on these forums, so I'll pass on the games for this month. But I'll do my best to get a dee-nee member or two going for May...
I'll also put your site up on the Links Page...

WOW. I'm almost stunned that this did not lead me to a lemon party...and yet I just had to click to find out... ???
As far as I know I'm still in the league, and unless there's another controversy I'm all for playing in the May league as well...
Purple, they (we) weren't ganging up on you, you just didn't answer some of the more important questions until yesterday, as far as I'm concerned (and I think most feel the same way) it's all water under the bridge...
Like I said, I'm going out of town in a few hours so I won't be around until Sunday, but I'll definitely be getting enough official games in over the next week or so once I return.
Glad there's peace in the RBI world
K, guys I think I may have the KEY to making the league as fair and accurate as possible, but I want your opinions just so I am assured its not a dumb idea....
I think I will take the player's attributes off of MVP Baseball 2005 *EA SPORTS*, and use them to decide what attributes they get on the ROM... I know that EA SPORTS doesn't know EVERYTHING, but they definately put alot of work into making the players as accurate as possible...
Please reply and tell me what you think about this crazy idea...
Thanks,
Tommy *PREZ*
I think that's probably a fair idea...esp if you can come up with some sort of formula that allows for the field to be even given even numbers.
Also, why aren't you in the REAL rbi tourney/league in June?
The one in Ohio?? If that's the one, I have more than a lot of reasons....
I played RBI when I was 5-6 y/o... never played since until this year due to a broken NES.... when i was d/l emulators and ROMs, I looked it up and started playing again and got addicted.... I searched for it on Yahoo! and Dee-Nee was the only good website, so I checked it out and was amazed... so really I never knew about the tourny's until now....
Thanks,

His 4th place finish was a fluke.
It was one tourney. . . over the course of a lifetime, Flaming Joe has proven himself to be the best.
Seems like we see the same fluke every year
