Whoohooo.  Alone in first place at 8-3.  I love computer controlled Gedman.

The Nimrods @ The Unholy Legions of Doom game is complete. Game video is attached, box score and recap to follow.

(Note: There were a bunch of odd running and fielding things. Especially Chet Lemon's triple in the third inning, where the RF overran a routine pop fly and had it go over his head, like he lost it in the lights. Bizarre.)

I've seen some really weird watch play hits recently, ones I'd never seen before (batter rounded first before a ball finally went foul on one)

The Raiders are a successful organization

And we had Sheridan's HR down the RF line that was called foul. Plus about 2 or 3 guys getting thrown out trying to take extra bases.

RECAP:

Gary Gaetti homered twice and drive in five as part of a 5-for-6 day as The Nimrods defeated The Unholy Legions of Doom 14-12 in an interleague Fantasy RBI game played Tuesday night at Tengen Stadium.

The victory was the second in the week for The Nimrods (5-7) and moved them ahead of THE Parish State University and out of the cellar in the Gantry Division. The result also pushes The Unholy Legions of Doom (4-7) to the brink of playoff elimination.

Dave Henderson hit two home runs in the losing effort, as the Unholy Legions of Doom were unable to outscore The Nimords despite getting two more hits and turning three double plays. They had a chance to complete a rally in the bottom of the ninth inning, with a single and double to start the inning. But Roger McDowell was able to work his way out of the jam with only one run surrendered, inducing Will Clark to pop out to end the game.
