Jim would get my vote, as would Lee Smith, Andre Dawson, Goose Gossage, Dale Murphy, Don Mattingly, Jack Morris, Tommy John, and Bert Blyleven.

I love the hall of fame. . .  .fame. . . famous. . . famous players should be there.

When I go (back) to the hall of fame, I want to see all the players I mentioned and more.

It's not like I'm clamoring for the Neifi Perez's of the world for the HoF.

It's also not like inducting Rice, Dawson, and the like will make the baseball immortals such as Ruth, Gherig, and Aaron worse players.

Blyleven should be in and I could certainly be happy with Rice, Dawson, and Gossage

The rest of Ryno's list though is borderline and no way should Mattingly make it

Tommy John -- 288 wins and a 3.34 era, and the first to go through the "tommy john" surgury . . .HOF.

Dale Murphy --- superstar outfielder for the WHORES.  HOF.

Lee Arthur Smith --- why does he get not love from the voters?  He defined the closer role for such a long long time. .  .all time save leader when he retired.  HOF

I agree that Mattingly is borderline, but I say "when in doubt, vote yes."

Albert Belle is a HoF player, too.  His stat line is amazing.
