October 5th/6th Fort Dodge RBI Tourney

This mofo has been submarined.  One guy is a CPA and on a business trip to illinois had some car trouble.  He's not returning till tonight.  Nate cubed has the flu and wont be making the 45 minute drive back here.

That leaves 2 of us.  we're still going to play a few series for the hell of it, and he plans to start joining us next thursday for some RBI at bootleggers.

It somewhat works out since we didnt have a 5th guy in the tourney, and i can recruit that person sooner or later from the bar. 

Bro....I'm tellin you. If you would have put up professional looking brackets from the start, your tourney would have been a success.
Kinda like gaging a party in HS by how cool and professional the flyer looks.

Recap:  A madlock home run in the 2nd started the scoring.  Chili davis answer with a solo shot in the 5th.  4 straight singles in the 6th followed by a 2 base/2 run error opened the flood gates for the detroit offense.  lemon grounded out next pushing the 5th run across the plate.

Recap:   Whitaker and Brookens hammered out back to back home runs in the 2nd to plate 3 runs.  Nokes added a 2run shot in the 3rd to take a 5-0 lead.  Whitiaker added another solo shot in the 7th.  Morris gave up 3 solo hots in the 4th, 7th, and 8th innings with the last homer chasing him from the game.  Hernandez struck out 3 of the last 4 batter to get the save.

Series news and notes:   All 4 SF runs in the series came off solo home runs.  Krukow struck out the side twice in game 1.  Of the 22 outs recorded by Alexnder, 15 were on ground balls.  Madlock was 2-2 off the bench in his 1st at bat in the series(HR/2B/1RBI/2R)
