OC Legions of Doom's bullpen gets it done in a wild thriller


Phoenix (AP) - The OC Legions of Doom blew a 15-4 3rd inning lead and found themselves down 18-17 in the top of the 8th. With some clutch hitting from their bench and some clutch pitching from their bullpen, the OC outscored the Poopydicks 4-0 in the 8th and 9th innings to win 21-18.

J.Lindmn had a huge day for the OC. The slugger collected 5 hits, 2 doubles, a HR, scored 5 runs, and drove in 5 batters from the 7-hole. McDowl and Worrel combined to only give up 1 hit and no runs. The OC bench was the difference in the game. JoMorris, Ford, Yngblood, and Backmn combined to go 3-4 with 4 RBI. Ford and Backmn had clutch back-to-back hits in the top of the ninth that broke the 18-18 tie and gave Worrel a 21-18 lead to work with going into the bottom half of the 9th. Worrel retired the side in order to earn the save.

The OC make the playoffs with a win. Should they lose, they will need a Sally Cunt and PBR loss to make the playoffs. They win the division with a win and a Ulracher loss. They will travel to Fort Dodge to face the Fighting Artichokes.

The Poopydicks have option advantage for the first round of the playoffs and will play either the Hammocks or Alliance. The Poopydicks will take on the mighty Galactic Empire for week 22.

Fighting Ulrachers finish strong to defeat Banana Hammocks, clinch playoff spot


Milwaukee (AP) - The Fighting Ulrachers clinched a spot in the playoffs as they outscored the Banana Hammocks 11-4 in the final 3 innings to win 19-11 in a crucial game for both teams.

The Ulrachers got off to a 8-0 lead after the second inning, but the Banana Hammocks slowly chipped into the lead and were only down 8-7 after the 6th inning. The Ulrachers snapped out of their sleep and scored 4 runs to go up 12-7, but the Hammocks scored 2 runs to keep the game tight at 12-9. Then in the 8th, the Ulrachers tacked on another 3 runs while the Hammocks added 2 to make it 15-11.
In the 9th, the Ulrachers drove the nail in the coffin after a D.Evans 3-run blast to cap a 4 run ninth. Corbett retired the side in order to earn the save and the Ulrachers are back in the playoffs for the second straight year.

Laundr and Mldndo each hit two home runs, and Laundr ended up registering two double and 5 RBI to lead the Ulrachers.

The Banana Hammocks failed to clinch a playoff birth with the loss by the Alliance. A win at home against the Blue Ribbons will get them in. Should they lose, they can still get in with an Alliance loss in the final week.

Awesome Badasses shock and dominate Empire, end Empire's 10 game home winning streak


Imperial Center (AP) - The Awesome Badasses played inspired baseball and confirmed an old FRBI axiom---on any given day.

The Badasses jumped all over Nando and held a commanding 10-3 lead after 4 innings. The lifeless Empire never threatened and only managed one run after the 5th inning as M.Scott pitched a complete game and only allowed 6 runs off 10 hits.

Brnsky had a huge day off the Empire pitching as he blasted 3 HR's with 7 RBI.

The loss snapped a record 10-game home winning streak held by the Empire. Manager and owner Darkside offered his thoughts, "Our players were not mentally ready to play, they thought the game was won before it even started, and in that process----forgot what got us here in the first place". The Empire players were seen running sprints for 6 hours after the game as manager Darkside threatened to cut the first player who gave up or complained.

Manager AlecTrevylan responded on his team's disappointing year and deep respect for the juggernaut Galactic Empire, "My team sucks. But I'm glad that we can shit on the Empire's dreams every once in a while.

Mark my words, Poopydicks take an early playoff exit! That unnecessary rivalry will live on.

That said,  I'll tune in for the playoffs where I'll have my money on the Empire."

So, what an ending. The OC win the Gantry division and will get a bye. The Ulrachers, Cunts, and Pabst Blue Ribbons ended up in a three way tie. The odd team out is the Cunts. Though they won the season series vs the Blue Ribbons, they lost the season series to the Ulrachers. So the second tiebreaker was determined, and that means division record. The Blue Ribbons had a better division record and at the same time, they won the season series over the Ulrachers.

So the Blue Ribbons finished in second place and will have option advantage over the Ulrachers in the divisional playoffs.

I made a mistake in the initial post. Esssscuuuuuse me. Have fun watching the playoffs.
