I'm guessing he took their career stats, converted them to 162 game stats as a basis for the game (ie if a player has 56 HR in 324 games, he will have 28 HR for his ROM stats).

It is the average stats that a player would have in a 162 games per year without being injured.  Look at this website the stats of Harris in 162 games career at the bottom standard batting.  If a player has better stats then career average for 2023. I gave him the 2023 stats.
