There's a whole new page for editing sound. You can mute or unmute any of the songs or sound effects used in the game. There's a button to mute just the songs, to make everyone's life simpler. I also enjoyed turning off the "applause" sound. So annoying ...

As usual, let me know if there are any questions, comments, or complaints ... yada yada yada.

Anyway to import sounds or is there a way to create your own?

As always, we're here for you. If you appreciate it that much, send that $1000 my way; I've got bills due. :P

Changing around the sounds so that they represent different actions in the game would be trivial. That said, writing some huge page to change them all is probably more trouble than it's worth. If you'd like specific changes made, I'd be happy to provide you with instructions.

Making entirely new sounds is possible. There's a ton of free space in the area of the ROM where the sound engine resides. However, operating the NES sound hardware is ... different. It's not just a matter of listing note pitches and durations. Plus the sound data stored in the ROM is compressed in some manner I haven't bothered to figure out yet. If anyone's interested in learning to code NES sound (reading the docs alone made my eyes bleed), I'll look into making it happen.
