In about an hour I'm going to have a bunch of drunks here wanting to play some RBI and my NES is fucked up. 

I'm assuming that thesee roms are set up for 2player action provided that I go get another shitty walmart control and have another free usb port?

yea, it'll work.  One time to test a rom, I set up one controller to control both player one and two.  It was tough to hit since as you moved the batter, the pitch would curve away from you.
