A lot of the below is probably obvious, but I figured I'd summarize anyhow

Detroit-  By far best lineup from top to bottom.  Basically outside Herndon, anyone can hit a HR at any time.  Alexander pitches well enough to not get them far behind early if they don't hit.

NL-  The key to their offense is Sandberg and Santiago, when they get on, they score.  Dawson and Davis are monsters, at times Schmidt is also, but he's much more streaky.  Weak at 7-8 spots but basically every team is, Fernando can be dominant.

Cali- Like Det, power throughout starting lineup, having Ruppert as PH #4 hurts their bench.  Potatoes doesn't seem to live up to abilities in watch, but Grich and Schofield are clutch.  Pitching is average, but good enough for their offense.

Bos- They need production for #4-#7 in the lineup because they can't count on #8-#3, it makes them streaky.  Clemens is good, but not at the level of Gooden, Fernando, or Blyleven.

Minn - Like Boston very streaky offense, they don't get much help from the bottom of the order, but when the bottom of the order gets on base they'll score a lot of runs.  They'd be much better if Blyleven was SP #1.

AL - Bell and Canseco are monsters, but their lineup #6 - #1 is weak, so it ends up being a lot of solo shots, but they have the ability to score a lot.  Key and Saberhagen are both streaky.

NY -  Gooden is the key to this team, their offense is below average, Backman and Santana suck so basically their lineup ends after Strawberry, when Dykstra and Wilson get on they are in good shape.  McDowell can K the 2 best hitters on the opposing team and then give up 7 straight hits to the crap hitters, you never know what he'll do.

SF - I think this team should be much better than their record indicates, they can often score lots of runs and have a solid lineup, but Krukow and Reuschel seem to get rocked often, maybe because they have no fastball, sometimes they have just 1 or 2 badly pitched innings, but they'll give up 7 in those innings.  Despite a decent bullpen, they have trouble in close games.  Somehow this team seems to make
the most bad throwing decisions and baserunning plays, I assume that is just random, but it seems they throw to the "wrong base" a lot.

Hou - Glenn Davis seems much better in watch games then he ever is when I bat with him, and they stay in games by dinking lots of singles and doubles.  Still their offense is horrible, and Ryan and Scott can sometimes keep them in games.  Their bench seems to get lots of big hits.

Stl - Tudor and Cox can't seem to both pitch well in the same game, usually Tudor pitches well then Cox blows it, sometimes Tudor gets rocked, but then Cox keeps them in the game.  When they both pitch well they win.  Jack Clark doesn't seem to live up to his reputaion and is out performed by GDavis.
Obviously not hitting pop ups is important for this team.
