weird glitch

I was playing RBI acrade rom earlier and hit what appeared to be a towering HR with Roger Maris in 1st AB. But the ball kept going up, up, up until I was called out.  I only had 1 strike, so it wasn't some kind of "foul ball" deal.  Anyone else ever hear of this?

maybe maris passed somebody on the bases and was called out

or he could have punched one of the other players in the mouth
