Vicious double header against the two teams tied for first place (percentagewise of winning we were tied, although i've played more games it puts me first) in their division. This was the best record team in the division and the last division series i have to play, this was a big one.

The first game was just brutal -- scoreless for 11 innings. We hit a combined team batting average of a pathetic .166. Finally afraid to take my 1st reliever (Parnell) out too soon, since it could have gone for many more innings, I left him in a pitch too long. #5 Barnes got it on the fat part of the bat and BOOM it went out top of the 11th. I couldn't counter it and that was game, one run scored in 11 innings.

in about the 4th inning Kahouty got on base with two outs; then soon the bases loaded with (i think) Pena his slugger. He swung and got a piece of it to the SS but it was just a tag on second base and still 0-0

Second game scoreless for 7 innings; my turn, man on base, finally GOING going gone . . . home run and 2-0. To have broken (11+7) 18 straight innings of no scoring! Another run added with a lucky grounder that couldn't be fielded, my reliever Parnell redeemed himself and closed down Oakland.

Split decision!

Oak 1, Cin 0 (11innings)
Cin 3, Oak 0
