Gary delivers dramatic walk off shot

SIOUX FALLS (AP) - With one out in the bottom of the 9th inning and down by one, Gary Carter stepped up to the plate with runners on the corners. Two pitches later Gary Carter delievered a fatal blow to the Artichokes as he drilled a JReardon fastball over everything in leftfield to end the game with a walk off shot. The Fighting Artichokes took a 7-6 lead going into the ninth inning, but Reardon could not close the door after a Guerro double and a Schmidt double with one out.

It was a pitcher's duel to the delight of 43,000 fans at Sioux Falls Park. Both sets of starting pitchers and relief sp's each only gave up a combined 6 runs. The bullpens of both teams were effective with the exception of Reardon in the DoveRBI low scoring contest.

DSutton hit an inside the park homerun in the bottom of the 5th inning as well as an rbi double in the bottom of the 6th. His contribution from the 9 hole was a key factor.

The Unholy Legions now move into second place of the DoveRBI League with a lot of season left to play. The Fighting Artichokes drop into a three-way logjam for 3rd place, but  into last place considering divisional records.

Records - Unholy Legions of Doom (7-7, 5-4), Fighting Artichokes (6-8, 2-7)

Chocolate Rain storm sweeps by Arkansas

ARKANSAS (AP) - C.Lemon belted his league leading 15th HR, drove in three, and collected three doubles as he led a Chocolate Rain storm over the Pabst Blue Ribbons 12-2 in three quick innings at Razorback Stadium.

The Pabst Blue Ribbons were unable to keep up with the Chocolate Rain fury as N.Ryan limited the Blue Ribbons to 2 ER in three innings while D.Alexander simply could not get outs for the Blue Ribbons.

The win snaps a 5 game losing streak for the Chocolate Rain and puts them right back in the hunt for a playoff spot in the DoveRBI League. Chocolate Rain also sweeps the season 2 game series over the Blue Ribbons.

Records - Chocolate Rain (6-8, 4-5), Pabst Blue Ribbons (3-11, 2-7)

OC quickly surge by Rebel Alliance in mercy rule victory

SANTA MARIA (AP) - On a beautiful Californian evening along the central coast with the San Rafael Mountains in clear view, the OC made quick work of the Alliance as they routed the up and down Alliance 12-2 in three quick innings in front of 58,000 pleased spectators at Central Coast Park.

The number one team in ERA in the Fantasy League shut down the Alliance's two most feared hitters. Leonard and Bell went ofeur the day as Sutclf looked very sharp in his outing.

Garner went 3-3 and drove in three in leading the OC offense. The win moves the OC into a second place tie with the Badasses (technically third) and one game back of the first place Sally Cunts. Although the OC lost the season series (1-2) to the Awesome Badasses, there is still plenty of games left to decide who goes where in the post season.

Records - OC of the Central Coast (8-6, 5-4), Rebel Alliance (6-8, 4-4)

Fighting Cutlers find offensive mojo in overpowering the Sally Cunts

BOSTON (AP) - The Fighting Cutlers regained their offensive mojo and snapped out of their three game funk in overpowering the Sally Cunts 20-11 at Bill Belichick Stadium.

The Cutlers jumped out to a 17-7 lead by the 6th inning and there were no heroic comebacks for the Cunts this time as they could not keep pace by playing pepper all day with the Cutler infielders.

B.Hurst pitched all nine innings in limiting the explosive Sally Cunt offense and T.Raines jump started the Cutler offense by leading off the game with a HR, the 4th time he has done it this season. Raines ended up going 5-6 and raising his season average to .671. Raines also stole two bags to increase his league lead to 7.

The Cunts remain a game ahead of the Badasses and OC and two games ahead of the Cutlers, but technically three since they won the season series 2-1.

Records - Fighting Cutlers (7-7, 3-6), Sally Cunts (9-5, 5-3)

Gantry Division is up 14-13 over the DoveRBI division so far. Both leagues are tough. There's more pitching in our division, but more offense overthere in your division...so far

Maybe your division has "better" pitching because your hitters can't hit, therefore leading to low-scoring sissy games.

We would KILL them in an All-Star game, assuming they can find enough players to field a team of All-Stars.

But they probably can't because they suck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this deserves a thread....

Morris and Cox shut down explosive Badass offense

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Morris and Cox demonstrated their brilliance as they combined to shut down the Fantasy League's number one offense in runs scored and average.
Both combined to give up 4 ER on 11 hits in seven innings of work as they led the Galactic Empire to a 8-6 close victory. Both pitchers got out of some crucial jams with the bases loaded a couple of times.

K.Gibson homered in the top of the second inning and the Empire would never trail in the non-league pitcher's duel. Gibson notched 4 hits in 4 at-bats and has now homered in his first three games with the Empire and is 12-16 with 8 RBI's since joining the Empire.

J.Tudor had an impressive outing as well as he shut down the Empire in his three innings of work. He gave up 1 ER on two hits. Viola also pitched good, but not good enough on this day where the margin of error was small.

The Empire took a 8-4 lead going into the ninth inning, and Shrld held on to earn the save as he escaped the inning.

The Empire remain in first place by three games and now hold the best record in the Fantasy League. The Awesome Badasses drop into a second place tie with the OC but are technically in second place due to winning the season series over the OC.

Records Galactic Empire (10-4, 6-1), Awesome Badasses (8-6, 6-2)
