Where do you stand in the box?

Where do you usually stand in the batter's box? I always go all the way toward the pitcher, and lean out over the plate. Do you move back to protect plate when you get behind in the count?

I bat like this, too.  I will back off a bit if I can't see so good (usually when I pitcher is fresh and my opponent is particularly "on").

OK- why not...

I like to get as far up in the box as I can.

Why isn't Tampax's slogan this: "We're not number one, but we're right up there."
