Just played my 2013 roster version of RBI 3 as the Braves vs Giants. On game two, I was still the Braves, but my opponent became the 2005 Cardinals.  On the brief-but-automated team select screen, the "C" icon for the CPU team was highlighted on a sixth team with no initials at the bottom of the NL Central.

And, of course since I found it, now I'm going to play it... And see if Pujols-when-he-was-good is any good!

I wonder if the extra space is a vestige of the original 30-team version of RBI 3, which would've had a sixth team in the NL Central.

The team switch thing is interesting.  I'd have assumed that the "season play" selection of the next opponent just grabs the next team in the list, but it doesn't seem like year-switching would be likely unless there was more to it.

Well, SF is the last NL team, and SL would be the only team on the sixth line back in 2005, so it would be the next team. If it were never removed, then while we see no text, that team is still there for the computer to select after a game against SF.

It's cool, though. I won 22-0. (Also, they were abbreviated "DT" instead of "SL" in the game, which is even more bizarre.
