i was trying to set up the tettleton, the pitch came and i ended up double-swinging.  the pitch was out of the strike zone and i would have swung and missed anyway.

i'm just happy to have been competetive... i'm not as bad as most of you would like to believe.

I think the quick pitch is perfectly acceptable.  If you can't hit the select button in time to pause, then that's what you get.

This isn't an issue when playing on the actual NES, of course, 'cause you can just say "time."  

The quick pitch really let's the pitcher get in a groove and this game is all about pitching.
