The 4th PH will only bat when the game goes into extra innings, and then it's for the 8 hitter.

Not true.   The first pitcher could be PH for in the 4th.  The 2nd pitcher could be PH for in the 7th.  Then in the 8th 8 hitter and 3rd pitcher can be PH for.  This is only one way it can happen, there are many others.  I've watched hundreds of games.

I'm surprised at how high Gehrig went, second overall seems awfully high for a guy with only 909 power and a horrific disease.

I agree with you Azz, but in reality, there are going to be 7 strong teams, I can understand picking your favorites because all lineups will be strong, and you want the guys you like.

Wow, USC went with Raines.  He's coming off a mediocre season, I was considering him for my 3rd round pick, and I was assuming he'd be there.

I have faith in the Rock. I think that he wasn't getting high quality stuff last season, and that contributed to some of his problems. I have...connections...that I think will help him big time this season.

I know Gooden was money for Teddy last year, but IMO that's too high to draft a pitcher, he will be feeling the pressure from those expectations.

Seriously, I think he's been huffing or something. I mean, I know he won the Cy Young last year, but pitching doesn't make a difference in this league. You have to load up on big sticks.


Michael Wilbon: As usual, Tony, you're absolutely wrong. A good pitcher can still have a huge impact. It might be the difference between giving up five runs versus eight runs, but that's still three runs. And look at who won the World Series last year – pitching matters.


TK: Pitching doesn't put butts in the seats – hitting does. The OC kind of flew under the radar last season – they're going to have a big target on their chests this season. And it was Jorge Bell that carried them in the playoffs last season – I can't believe Teddy let him slip away.


MW: Let him slip away? He picked up Andre Dawson in his place! They have the reigning Cy Young winner AND the reigning league MVP on the same team! They might not lose one game this whole season – playoffs included!


TK: What? Now I think you're huffing along with Teddy!
