Fantasy RBI Week 7

Another week of Interdivisional games:

The Poopydicks (3-3) @ The OC (4-2): The two second-place teams try to keep pace in their respective Divisions.
The Fighting Tony Danzas (2-4) @ The Nimrods (2-4): One team is trying to keep momenteum going with the other is trying to right the ship.
The Hip Young Popes (2-4) @ The South Arkansas Penis (3-3): Is this a statement game for the Popes or a chance for the Penis to get back on track.
The Frank Tanana All-Stars (5-1) @ The Creamy Pirates (5-1): First-place teams collide - expect fireworks.
The Unholy Legions of Doom (2-4) @ THE Parish State University (2-4): Two teams heading downhill fast - something has to give.

A new leaderboard and complete stats are available here. This week's ROM (with new rosters post-trade) is attached.

Recap:

Andre Dawson hit two home runs and drove in five to lead The OC to a 12-8 victory over The Poppydicks in a Fantasy RBI interdivision game played Sunday night at Tengen Stadium.

Bill Buckner added a two-run homer for The OC (5-2) in support for Dwight Gooden, who gave up seven earned runs over seven innings to pick up the victory.

Once again George Bell was the lone offensive bright spot for The Poopydicks (2-4), homering and driving in four.

Recap:

Mike Schmidt's two-run homer in the eighth innning proved to be the difference as The Fighting Tony Danzas defeated The Nimrods 12-11 in a Fantasy RBI interdivisional game played Monday night at Tengen Stadium.

John Morris added four doubles and a triple for The Fighting Tony Danzas (3-4), who have won consecutive games for the first time this season. Scott Garrelts picked up the win in relief, while Jesse Orosco gave up a solo home run to Tim Laudner but retired Danny Heep to earn the save.

Laudner homered twice for The Nimrods (2-5), and he and Pat Sheridan each drove in four runs.

Recap:

Tony Armas homered twice and drove in five to lead The Hip Young Popes to a 9-6 victory over The South Arkansas Penis is a Fantasy RBI League Interdivision game played Wednesday afternoon at Tengen Stadium.

Doyle Alexander picked up the victory for The Hip Young Popes (3-4), giving up three earned runs in four innings of work. With the victory, The Hip Young Popes moved into a tie for second place in the Doverbi Division heading into the All-Star break.

The South Arkansas Penis (3-4) scored just six runs despite getting 17 hits. The difference was a lack of timely hitting, as they hit into two double plays and stranded nine runners. Eric Davis lead their offense, going 4 for 5 with two RBI.

Recap:

Don Baylor homered twice and drove in five as The Frank Tanana All-Stars rallied to defeat The Creamy Pirates 15-10 on Thursday afternoon at Tengen Field, in a highly-anticipted match-up of the two Fantasy RBI League division leaders.

George Hendrick homered and drove in three for The Frank Tanana All-Stars (6-1), allowing Roger Clemens to pick up the win in relief. The Creamy Pirates (5-2) lead 3-0 after four innings behind sterling pitching from starter Bobby Ojeda. But Rick Reuschel was immediately rocked in relief, giving up 11 runs in just three innings of work.

The Creamy Pirates were outhit 24-18, and compounded their offensive woes by hitting into two double plays.
