He just beat out Wade Boggs too, Boggsie had a .349 his first year (1982).  It was Gladden's 2nd SEASON (1984) but first true year, he had only like 63 at bats in 1983.

from my memory:  greg brady is pitching for his school team or something (grey uni's w/ green trim, bears(?)).  i think drysdale is a client of mike brady's and comes to the house to give greg pointers on pitching.  the episode aslo features actual gameplay of what's supposed to be greg's team.  i believe this was probably filmed around the time of drysdale's and koufax's holdout (maybe?).
