Was just checking the members list and I noticed that over the past year, there have been 104 new members.  However only about a dozen have more than 10 posts (and that includes Ryno, Stevo).  Do people get scared off because peolpe treat newbies like jerks sometimes? Or do people join up to try to play online and when they realize its a complete mess and they give up? Or does 90% of the population not want to hear about BDawk's plumpness or MikeD tagteaming Russian midgets?

Is attracting and retaining new members even something thats desired?  Is Dee-Nee like a party where you're happy that its only 30-40 of your close friends and you really don't want the mutant bikers to show up and ruin things?

I hear it's 500% more expensive for Gantry to attract new members, so he'd better start retaining them.

I wish BeeJay would come back.

I'm sure a good % of the "new" members are Gino types...

I think that at the beginning people would normally start out in the RBI forum then venture over to ATG.  Nowadays there isn't all that much going on in the RBI forum because just about everything you could ever imagine has already been covered.

So the lack of RBI discussion and ATG being about 75% inside jokes doesn't make this place very enticing for newcomers.
