I'd like to move that this trade be suspended until Mike D. and I can discuss the matter.

Sorry Nacho...

It's official. MikeD is the owner and general manager for the Sally Cunts. The trade stands.

The Director of player personnel/player development does not carry the same weight as owners/general managers.

We co-own and manage the team.  It's a joint effort.

Mike D.

I love this trade for the both teams.  Ozzie was the weakest link in our lineup.  We have plenty of speed throughout the lineup, but our 8 spot was absolute garbage.  Sure he can hit dribblers and steal bases, and go 1st to 3rd when he's on base.  Problem was, he never got on base.  To date Ripken has the same number of doubles and triples as Ozzie, plus 2 homers.  Sally Cunts biggest glaring weakness was a lack of power past Straw.  Now we at least have some pop down low in the lineup.  I couldn't stand watching another inning fizzle when The Wizard came up.

All that being said, Ryno gets what he needs.  Good contact and great speed at the top of his lineup.  And he gets to dump Ripken, who pissed him off just as much as Ozzie pissed me off.

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

Buckner (IF), Dykstra (OF), and Puhl (B) of the Galactic Empire

for

OSmith (IF), KGibson (OF), and Uribe (B) of the Pabst Blue Ribbons

The deal is official and will help both teams.

Ryno gets a legit lead-off hitter in Dykstra. Dykstra has more pop than Smith and can run. He does much better in the leadoff spot than any other spot. I had Dykstra in the leadoff spot last year, and he hit .581...

Also, Ryno gets Buckner and adds above average contact and average power. Buckner hit 9 jacks in season III.

And Ryno strengthens his bench with Puhl by getting great speed and good pop coming off the bench.

I get Gibson for this trade-off deal package. I get some power that I really need.

Win-win for both teams. The Pabst Blue Ribbons should be a better team now. The Empire's starting lineup has more pop now, but our bench is going to suck.

New ROMS on the way...

Gibson has been terrible.  I've tried him all over the lineup (as I've done with the rest of my players) and he just isn't getting it done this year.

I need to roll the dice and see what happens ---- I need to get on a fucking streak.

Buckner is a gamer --- provides some intangibles.

Dykstra is pure grit and toughness. He'll set the table and get things started.

New Lineup:

1- Dykstra OF
2- Buckner IF
3- Canseco OF
4- Dw Evans OF
5- Gedman C
6- Teufel IF
7- Spilman IF
8- Gagne IF

Puhl B
Bush B
Pedriq B
Mazzili B

Well, I'm sure Gibson will be excited to come to the Empire. He fits our program well with his good contact, power, and speed. Were going to try and get Gibson to use the whole field. He only has 3 HR's this year, but we need to get him to concentrate on just getting hits and not trying to do too much.

Here is our new lineup:

1. Tramml IF
2. J.Rice OF
3. Mattngly IF
4. Murphy OF
5. Gibson OF
6. Heath C
7. Knight IF
8. Barret IF

1. OSmith Bench
2. Uribe Bench
3. Ford Bench
4. Bckmn Bench

If a new Rom is coming out I'm going to tinker with my lineup too...

1. Leonard
2. Bell
3. Boggs
4. Hrbeck
5. Maldonado
6. Whittaker
7. Molitor
8. Santiago

Why not.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

ryno

we have another trade. . .  ..

Repeat sends Alexander to Ryno for Witt

This deal is sure to lead me to 3-4 wind total this year. . . .maybe.

Re-Peat

So...  is trading closed then?  I thought you said there could be trades between weeks 8-12, but that was about 3 days.  At least it felt like it.

If not, I'm looking to ship Candy Maldonado and a bs infielder (sandberg, or molitor) for a decent infielder and a bs OF or bench.

I think we should be allowed to trade until darky starts week 14.

I think he said there would be some down time. .  . . . .perfect timing for some last minute trades.

Darky

The trading deadline ended May 6 when week 13 started.

This thread started April 22, when trading begun after week 7.

Week 8 started April 24.

Week 13 started May 6.

There was plenty of time to get your trades in. If you fell asleep at the wheel, you only have yourself to blame.

The decision is final and I will not entertain any suggestions for any exceptions. It was no secret all season which weeks trading would be allowed.
