W.Mays, MelOtt, and Horner combine for 7 homeruns to lead U7 to easy win over Sides of Beef. Final score not as close as it seems. Both teams now 5-4.

Blue Foot Boobies move into sole possession of 2nd place behind clutch hitting from their stars and key hitting from the bottom of the lineup. Blue Foot pitching staff prevent big inning by powerful Exposé. Mantle's 4 HRs not enough. Mantle's HR league leading total now 23 in 51 at-bats - in position for Triple Crown.

something about scoring 6 runs and the boobies just stop scoring

Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

Forgot to mention this, but last week, Ozzie Smith went for an inside the park homerun when the CPU should have stopped him at thirdbase.

The Hulk Hogans should change their name to the Leaping Lenny Poffos after that game.

i think it's time the boobies seek out a trade. it's been a rocky season. we're staying alive with great pitching, but need another bat to put us over the top.

You hit into 4 double plays! One time with GDavis pinch hitting and with the ph boost, he came in with a 963 power with the bases juiced and one out when the game was tied in the 4th. He hit a 1-2-3 double play to end the inning. Then you got doubled off a couple of times I believe and a normal ground ball double play. To compound the odds that were working against you, Sandberg went yard 2 times! And Clemens was tough today - he's legit elite in this league.

I don't notice anything unusual. I'll have to check. Are you sure it was week 9? There shouldn't be any odd glitches with the updated emulator. I'll have a look.

Surprising that the Hulksters came to the park today and thought they could just throw their hats on the field and win. It was bound to happen, and that is MWills, Lmbrdi, and F.Lynn coming back down to earth. MWills and Lmbrdi shouldn't be hitting over .500, and yet they still are. Those two guys have been having career years, along with Lynn, but maybe the random generator will start leveling things out. Those guys have been the difference for the Hulksters ... and of course M.Scott. Surprised Mantle only had one bomb!

J.Davis went 6-6! He hit at least 3 bleeders and I thinkk 2 of those were for triples. It was those bleeding ground balls that slowly roll to the RF wall. J.Davis I fear may come back to earth too with an eventual 1-6 game or two. He's hitting almost .600 which puts him second highest on my team. He is a 28/801 and DwEvns is a 22/813 guy, and yet, DwEvns is only hitting .403 and has less homeruns. Evans did a lot better in my scout sims and he's supposed to hit between .450-.490 depending on how the ball bounces, but he needs to have bigger games eventually. I have no guys hitting .300. My team speed sucks, but the construction of my team by draft and trades was just to get on base with hits. I don't have any guys under .795. The guys in the league that are low 700's and so on, if they have speed they can be weapons, but they tend to disappear some games with those damn infield popouts.

I thought Purple Reign would handle the Steely Dans, but despite the good pitching Reign has, their offense can go silent and the Steely Dans will have a game here and there where their pitching functions with enough firepower to win.

Anyways, each time is now facing the other SP for the second half, so that will be interesting to see how that plays out.

The errors at 12 wasn't really an issue. I think I'll keep it there or jack it to 14 for week 11. Or I can just do a lottery with errors set between 5-15 for the rest of the season.

Any Given Sunday in effect gentlemen -nobody has been crowned! Boxscores and recaps to roll out soon, as well as season and team leader reports. I may create a new thread just for the leaders and team stats so you all can see your own team stats.

See around 2:20.  My team had the ball waaay before Ozzie got to third and he just kept running.

Montreal Exposé out-hit (23-10) and outpitch 1st place Hulk Hogans in a 7-inning mercy rule slaughter after a tight start to the game. Reggie Jackson hits 2 homeruns with 6 RBI and Mantle added a shot to his league leading 24 HR. Montreal's pitching phenomenal.

Viral videos of members of the Hulk Hogans out as late as 5 am partying in Montreal. Anonymous source tells the Dee Nee Examiner that a member of the Hulksters said there was no way in hell they would lose again. Word leaked to the Exposé clubhouse and lit a flame.

Shooty, You are right. Mantle picked up the ball before Ozzie reached 3rd and as the ball was rolling in from the throw into the infield, Ozzie kept running. Interesting glitch and I doubt there is coding for players with 144+ speed to keep running if the ball is picked up deep in center while 2/3 the distance to third base. I watched the video on the slowest setting on youtube. I believe it's a rare glitch that happens. We've seen it twice this season and there was another time it happened during Figthon's league. Ghost in the machine or self-awareness!

Steely Dans Revenge snap 4-game skid with outstanding pitching and 3 homeruns by TPerez. McCrmk picks up huge save with a near perfect 9th after Purple Reign mounted a threat in the 8th.

Soto goes the distance with a 17-hit strong outing. Sides of Beef pull away after the 4th and cruise the rest of the way. Bonds for the Spiders still surprising with 14 total homeruns to his 855 power/18 contact.

Empire jumps out to early big lead for a stress free win. J.Davis goes 6/6, hits for the cycle, and drives in 6 to spearhead Empire attack. Guidry pitches complete game gem. Empire now at .500 after second consecutive win.

Brock, Sandberg, & McGwire lead the way for a Swinging Dicks convincing win. Sandberg hits a pair of homeruns just over the LF wall, McGwire blasts 3 mammoth shots, & Lou Brock hits league leading 7th triple. Clemens pitches lights out in relief. Blue Foot Boobies hit into 4 double plays, one of which with the bases loaded and the game tied in the 4th with GDavis up and sporting a 964 power after the +64 boost.

The sandberg game!  Sorta......

Incredible that he hit two bombs with his mighty 765 power!

And today's schedule for week 11 - times represent Dee Nee time. Errors are set to 14 and the mercy rule threshold has been moved to 12 runs instead of 13.

Teams that were home/visitor in the first half have been flipped for the second half, i.e., The Empire was away vs the Spiders in week 2 and now The Empire will be at home. Also bear in mind that all teams are facing the other SP this time around in the second half.
