Also a good way to look at players who have jobs on the line. Right now, Lemon just about a lock to start over CDavis. Rizzuto and Doran are neck and neck right now, but the plan with those two will be for role playing. Rizzie hits better vs righties and Doran is better against lefties. Pitching will be mostly Drysdale and Tiant, and Spahn spot starting against heavy lefty hitting teams such as Ultimate's team and Ryno's. Drysdale and Tiant combined for a gem over Tempo's great hitting team. We got the lucky random draw there. In all honesty, all the teams can beat anyone and who wins will come down to the random factor and of course catching more breaks.

Nomaaa, will you be broadcasting games live? You mentioned Twitch and that would be awesome since the "observer effect" is real with these games. That is, if I can watch the league games live, then the better my chance since I am affecting the game with the observer effect!

i just upgraded my mobo & processor, so i actually need to trouble shoot a few things when i have some time this weekend, but my graphics card has a built in capture device, so simultaneously recording and broadcasting won't be a problem when it's fully operational.

i think having a scheduled game times could be fun for the league with in game chat etc. and could help focus on keeping up with everything. i'm pretty busy with school and film projects rn, but if anything, it's helping me keep a schedule and stick to it.

Sounds fuckin awesome with the live broadcasts! Damn, that's a whole new level of superbness! My bad, thought he was 975. Still odd he had such a bad day with that kind of power.

Ha! Well, I doubt Tiant will only give up 2 runs in 6 innings again. That was surprising against Tempo's lineup.
I was surprised your team didn't do better. You did score 28 in your second game which showed the potential of your powerful lineup. The loss to Nacho's team was surprising since you only scored 5 runs. Fighton's team was also a bit shocking to see lose two straight. His team can score. Gooden got roughed up in his start for the Canadian Shooties. But yeah, it's all about the draw of the random factor.

As mentioned before, this league will be very competitive and the lucky breaks is what will determine the champion. If there is a team out there that looks like a legitimate contender, it would be Ultimate's team. His team has a knack for being really explosive and scoring runs consistently - his team did put up 30 which was the highest output of the tournament, and he hit 27 in another game. Reuschel was a surprise in the closer spot - he pitched brilliantly from that spot...weird.

I feel good about my team. I like the pitching and I feel I have one of the best SPs in Drysdale and Tiant is just a touch below upper tier. Spahn and Hubbel are both nasty in the bullpen. I believe there'll be two teams that may not be able to keep up in runs and just don't have good enough pitching. We'll see though.

If I got fired up enough, I may do some kind of vlog (without showing my face) where I'll do a preseason preview and recap the games. Huge maybe, but it would be fun and keep interest up with an entertainment value. Maybe I'll try and get guests on the show to talk about their team or the games or whatever.
