Down 16-12 to UHF Ch.62, Beefy Masters thrust ahead with 8-run eighth and Bruce Sutter's lights out pitching as he continues to have phenomenal year out of the bullpen. Sutter pitched two scoreless innings in the 8th and 9th and allowed no hits and zero runs as well as fanning two batters. Beefy Masters now in 2-way tie with PBR for first place.

PBR holds off 9th inning Hollywood comeback rally and wins another low scoring game with outstanding pitching and just enough hitting. Chili Davis benched immediately after game by demanding Ryno. Fighton's snaps at media by telling them his team is elite when media brought early favorite list to go all the way and Hollywood not on the list - reaction trending #1 on Twitter today.

PBR now in first place tie with Beefy Masters at 6-2, but actually in second via head-to-head tiebreaker.

Hell of a comeback after I thought I was gonna get mercy-ruled in the 4th... I managed to withstand an Ozzie Smith dinger and back-to-back strikeouts by my 2-3 hitters to kill a rally in the top of the 7th.

Bruce Sutter had a nice comeback game after losing his scoreless appearance streak his last time out.

Hack Wilson wakes up dangerous after early season hibernation, carries Tropicana with 6/6, 3 HR, 2 2B, 9 RBI showing at the plate. Tropicana then holds off last gasp rally by The Empire. Empire now have lost 6 straight after opening up year 2-0.

Vida Blue pitches complete game gem, Davey Johnson's huge day (3 HR 6/6) carries Canada Shootys to third win. Andre Dawson hits two homeruns to hold his position as HR league leader at 17 threatening Mantle's record of 39 - only bright spot for the struggling High Fives.

Ye Old Stylers jump out to 10-3 lead then hold off 9th inning BB Kings rally to seize 5th straight win. Sutton barely earns save by getting Nokes to fly out with runners on second and third with 2-run lead. Old Stylers now move into second place tie after kicking off season with three straight losses - now have league's longest winning streak.

I swear Yaz was thrown out at 1b but not called out.   1b threw it too quickly after catching it I guess. 

Chili would have been out for sure.

All Empires eventually come to an end - our program is in shambles. We need to regroup and make some changes and use the second half to get a wildcard spot. Vader isn't even talking to us right now which means there could be a roundup of deaths. We are going to get this shit fixed and get back to being badass.

Beefy Masters use another gear in two different innings to seize game and put it away. In critical 8th inning with Canada only down by 4, Sutter keeps Canada at bay with another scoreless inning. Beefy Masters then drop 11 off Spahn in the 9th to put game away. Beefy Masters continue to roll and remain in first place as the first half of the season concludes.

Babe Ruth blasts 3 HR, Mike Scott pitches lights out, PBR quickly overwhelms Ye Old Stylers in 20-3 mercy rule rout. Yaz debuts in starting lineup with 3 hits and HR. Bedrock reported to be calling shots with PBR in hand. PBR becoming the Raiders of the FRBI Super League.
