 I think mgriff gets into the hall eventually if he stops playing right now.  He'll be a 5th or 6th ballot inductee.  Being able to produce sucessfully in both leagues, I beleive will get him in.

I am still upset that Murphy has not been inducted.  I know he only had 398 HR's but he won back to back MVP's, he was an AS 7 times.  The HOF is crap if a quality guy like the Murph is not in.

In his prime he was one of the best players in the game.
The only problem with him is his taste in movies. I remember on Dale Murphy day at the Vet, they honored him by playing his favorite movie, It's a Wonderful Life.

i agree with you....being from boston, i know there is a ton of hatred for clemens because he should have "known better" than to play for the yankees....bucky dent got enough shit growing up for his name being bucky....we actually had pity on the little puke....he was a pawn in the grand scheme...not the problem....however.....even though i dont harbor alot of ill will for mr clemens....he was driven out of town and we tend to hate the management for doing that to him rather than him....he is an easier target because the only place that you see bucky dent anymore is either on the green monster or working the counter at wal-mart....he doesnt pitch against us 5 times a year...the best analogy of how we feel about clemens was made by bill simmons, a writer for espn and the jimmy kimmel show...he said its "like breaking up with your girlfriend and she goes and drops 50 pounds...gets a boob job and a face lift and starts caring about herself and then gets a job on baywatch to rub it in..."

to close and bring it around to the topic...he could go in with fucking burger king crown on for all i care...hes earned it....but nearly every institution has rules....and if you are gonna be a money whore like most of our athletes today are, that is the sacrafice you have to make...
