Thanks to the recent Fantasy Draft, the RBI board is actually getting some traffic. I've decided to start a thread where people can put in their RBI Photoshop jobs. Where is that pic TBG did of Vince Coleman in the tarp machine?
Content people, content!
Does the Mulletstache count?
Yes, yes it does.... The Rat never looked finer, though perhaps we should photoshop that pic...
That would be from the game 6 video thread. (http://forums.dee-nee.com/index.php?topic=12740.msg245212#msg245212)
That may be the picture of the year...
yes, that was definitely awesome
don't forget fighton's. his 85 series denkinger call was great too.
We won't forget if you post it...

I particularly like how TBG made Coleman black in the tarp-roller pick..
And Mt. Francmore was totally underappreciated in the other thread...

This pic is BS...they're both the home team? Everybody knows that Ny plays in their road unis...
If by "Ny", you mean "KC", and by "plays in their road unis", you mean "was playing at home in game 6", then you would be correct.
Oh, yeah--was thinking that pic was from the '86 series...duh. Bust still--KC and Sl still both in home unis.

Absolutely savage BeeJ....

BeeJay has a stranglehold on Dee-Nee poster of the month. Perhaps I should turn this into a gallery? A few more gems and this has "linked from sportsguy/fark/whatever" written all over it.
Here's a couple of famous outfield shots. The second was painful for me to do as I had completely turned traitor toward the Cardinals by '91, while the first is probably the most overrated play in the history of sports.

My brain forgot the "outfield" part of the first sentence, and I thought you were going to try to do Hrbek pulling Ron Gant off the bag.
I think I've completely blocked the Hrbek play from memory, and I'd rather not relive it.
A last one, a bittersweet yet classic moment.
I don't know what that last one is, any chance on getting a Canseco HR off the head?

If Ryno were smart he'd do one of Pettitte tipping his pitches in Game 6 and Gonzo hitting the bleeder to win it in Game 7. That wouldn't make me happy.
Can we have one of Reggie Jackson attempting to kill the Queen?
Joe Niekro tossing an emory board?
Canseco off-the-head HR...
I know the details aren't correct, but here's Coleman, 1993.
I lost Photoshop in a reformat a little while ago, so I had to do everything in MSPaint, which explains the simplicity. Additionally, I can't upload .bmp files to the forum, so I had to mutilate the quality by saving it as a .jpg. How 'bout an R.B.I. scene with Alou getting pissed after Bartman "stole" that foul ball from him. Show some obscenities coming out of Alou's mouth and have Dusty Baker run on the field to protest...
1991 World Series: After hitting a 2-out single, Ron Gant comes off first base and is tagged out by Kent Hrbek, ending a potential rally. It is alleged that Hrbek actually pulled Gant off the base, but as you can see from this actual undoctored photograph, it was a judgment call that could have gone either way.

the images are .png screen captures taken from the pitcher selection screen. they were expanded to 500% in mspaint.
* interesting note: the black thing under the scoreboard is blue here in the blowup... i think this proves that it is indeed the "batter's eye" or hitting backdrop and not a scoreboard of any kind. (in my opinion the "game over" that appears at the end of the game in the same area is there becuase that's the middle of the screen, much like "out" and "safe" are displayed during gameplay. i also think this fits with the overall look of the stadium, artisticly speaking. mystery solved.

easy to do, almost impossible to capture in game. i've been trying for a long time. you have to get the player RIGH on top of PRECISELY the EXACT spot to COMPLETELY cover the ump. then hit [f9] or whatever does the screen cap for your emulator.
but couldnt you just do it, and then use rewind and advance frame until you capture it perfectly?

i'm more in favor of doing a "$3 Dykstra" as opposed to purchasing the tshirt i'll never wear.
why would you never wear it?
Settle down, Strassy
i saw a guy wearing a Ken Oberkfell jersey last night. I was going to compliment him on it but forgot.
There was a guy at the grocery store yesterday, looked to be in his late 30s, wearing a sideways hat with a flat brim and a bright orange Latrell Sprewell Knicks jersey. I very nearly asked him if he lost a bet.
Based off what I saw while there, the average South Dakotan is probably very frightened by that guy.
What exactly are you trying to imply, Tempo?
That the guy is dressed in some awful, accidental parody of the way many people from South Dakota likely believe people from "the big city" dress.

there's no reason/excuse not to
agreed, I'm embarrassed in TBG right now. I hate the Mets, but I would wear the hell out of a Dykstra shirt right now

And eating the fuck out of some twizzlers.

If nothing else, this is spurring me to reread this thread, which I am sure will be a good time.

UPDATE: It was a good time.
Indeed it was...
Great thread. The Randy Johnson killing a bird is still my favorite. I had forgotten about the Dock Ellis no-hitter one. Underrated work, there.
