1991 World Series: After hitting a 2-out single, Ron Gant comes off first base and is tagged out by Kent Hrbek, ending a potential rally.  It is alleged that Hrbek actually pulled Gant off the base, but as you can see from this actual undoctored photograph, it was a judgment call that could have gone either way.

i wanted to post this specially commissioned artwork here for a dee-nee'r who shall remain nameless unless they wish to reveal themself.

anyone may feel free to use these images to edit and improve as they wish.

the images are .png screen captures taken from the pitcher selection screen.  they were expanded to 500% in mspaint.

* interesting note:  the black thing under the scoreboard is blue here in the blowup... i think this proves that it is indeed the "batter's eye" or hitting backdrop and not a scoreboard of any kind.  (in my opinion the "game over" that appears at the end of the game in the same area is there becuase that's the middle of the screen, much like "out" and "safe" are displayed during gameplay.  i also think this fits with the overall look of the stadium, artisticly speaking.  mystery solved.

Teddy Ball Sack is the man!....super nice touch with the exit gate area midway down the left field line.  thats starting to get close to what i had in mind.  the bleacher simulation is a tad crude but its starting to come together.  im not completely sold on that pic per se, but man oh man, the exit area is the bomb diggity! 

i'll continue my search for the perfect arrangement but its starting to come together.

easy to do, almost impossible to capture in game.  i've been trying for a long time.  you have to get the player RIGH on top of PRECISELY the EXACT spot to COMPLETELY cover the ump.  then hit [f9] or whatever does the screen cap for your emulator.

but couldnt you just do it, and then use rewind and advance frame until you capture it perfectly?
