It was asked on the other thread about the RBI Database. Well, I've had it up and running for awhile but never really sent out the link or gave it a permanent home. Here is what I'm envisioning:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki
Basically a Wiki (notice it's the same software as the presently down Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org)) that anyone can use to make/edit pages about RBI. My vision is to have this site be THE source for RBI Baseball and the forums. Anybody, anywhere can edit any page or start a new one.
The beauty of this is that nobody is relying on me for the information. Lets face it, I'm too fucking lazy to do the whole thing myself. If we get a good core of forum members workign on it, the thing would really take off.
Wiki is easy to use after you get the hang of it (there are a good 10-12 core commands for bold, bullets, horizontal lines, links etc) and becomes second nature after some time with it. We could really do anything with it, first ideas:
- A page for every RBI'er
- Recreate most of the pages on dee-nee
- A page for all the glossary terms (one each)
- A page for each of you forum bigwigs
- A page for weird forum terms (JoeDirt is a cheater, hjose, etc)
Anything really related to RBI or dee-nee. If people want to get on board, the rbidb can take over the world.
What do you think?
Here is one of the few pages I actually did:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/RBI_Baseball_Drinking_Game
Anyone feel free to start a new page to try out, or edit an old page. Questions? Comments? Would you be interested? I want feedback, I crave feedback...
Great idea. I created an account, and I'd be more than happy to help out.
Somehow I figured you would Nails, thanks! I'm pretty sure that this is going to work, even if there isn't a huge initial outpouring.
I'm going to make the search ask you to add a page if you search for something that isn't there. Once that is out of the way, it's easy for people to start making their own pages...
I went to the link, but am still confused how everything will work, maybe once the easy phase comes in, since I'm not so smart.
Basically you would use the search to find most terms. If there is no term, you can immediately start making a new page.
You can also edit the front page to link to any pages you want. So from the front page I can have a page "RBI Players" "RBI Drinking Game" "Forum Members" etc. Basically with wiki you can edit the page any way you want, to link to any other page you want.
Anyone can edit any page. Go ahead and click the "edit" button on the main page and put "hjose oqendo rules" anywhere you want. Once you are editing a page, you can see some of the codes used for linking, bold, subheaders etc.
It's kind of like editing a forum post, except you can edit anyone's post and add whatever you want. You can also make new posts at any time and link to those posts from anywhere...
Does that make any more sense?
this sounds cool but I'm currently on lunch and have no time to figure it out, I like what your trying to do Gantry.

I'd be glad to help, I've already contributed a couple items.
Well done Jerry! If you click on the "Recent Changes" page on the left, you can see the last set of updates. Jerry make a quick straight pitch page:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Straight_Pitch
Notice when Jerry made his page, he make links to Slurve and Anything Goes. All he had to do was put the name in brackets, such as
Slurve
When editing the page. Upon saving the page, a link is made. The link is red, meaning no page has been created. But if you click on the link you can instantly make a page for Slurve.
This make sense people?
Jerry is the fucking man! He's whipped up a Boston team in about 5 minutes, and is still working on it as we speak:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Boston_(NES)
Can you see the power of the RBI Database now?
that was cool, i edited something. neato :-)
I'm in...
I saw that edit, Teddy - well done! Teddy corrected a mistake about where Boston was in the selection order:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php?title=Boston_%28NES%29&curid=935&action=history
On every page, there is a "history" tab. If you compare the last two versions, you can see the changes Teddy made. Note "69.235.227.20" shows up as the person who made the change because Teddy wasn't logged in as a user, so it shows his IP address.
You don't have to be a registered use to use the database, but if you are going to make many edits, it's best if you sign up. That way you can also have a user page, a talk page and be able to watch all the pages you work on.

added a link to the NES teams from the main page
might i suggest a coupe other additions to the team pages. i posted a spreadsheet awhile back that had the actual positions each guy played. important moslty for the outfielders. it's a good bit of info and took some time to research, i think i posted it or sent it to fighton, now i cant remember. i also posted the managers of each RBI team, that might be a good piece of info for the database. too bad i can't find these posts here, sorry. i just think if someone can find those, it's good info for such a thing as a DB.
Good stuff Hath and Teddy...
I think Jerry is spitting the teams out at this point, that's the beauty of the database. Get a base going and you can edit things you think about later on. If you know the managers of the teams, add them to the pages as Jerry is making them...
It really is the best part about the wiki factor, is that people can keep adding to and revising existing pages, so they get better and better!
Nice piss-n-vinegar by JerryD on the Santana page:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Rafael_Santana
Couldn't have said it any better myself...
First page completed - a ranking of the Top Ten players in each of the offensive categories, plus the Overall Offensive Value of all 120 players based on my weighted ranking system.
Overall Player Rankings (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Overall_Player_Rankings)
Wow, that is impressive work sir! You might want to use headings for each category though. Example:
Top Ten Power Rankings
The cool thing is that after 3 or 4 of them, it creates a table of contents to use. I gotta go over some of those numbers, very nice though.
Gotta jet for awhile, thanks to Hath, Jerry and USC for the great work so far. I think I'm going to spend tonight playing with it. I'll be back, Dee-Nee!
hey gantry. i have only veiwed the pages a bit, but if they can be edited by anyone, then could they be sabotaged, or have a dumbass that dont his stuff about rbi re-write them?
if so is there a way to store the pages somewhere here, just in case?

The old revisions are automatically stored as part of the Wiki software, so no need to worry about that.
Gantry, I'm glad you finally did this. Perhaps one of the greatest ideas ever.
I'll be on board to put all my stupidity behind this project. Can't wait to fuck it up. But it'll have to wait until I finish up my graduation weekend/vacation.
DEE NEE!
EDIT Maybe I won't be able to help on this. My stupidity is in full effect. Gonna have to learn this shit.
Hell, I'll give it a try. Since I've proposed one of the terms we have used before, I'll try to work on the terms. It might be as easy as a copy/paste job, but I might try to 'improve' it (especially the SHD). Wish me luck in not fucking the whole shit up :P
Edit 1: Anything by G-Funk/Garrett Mackenzie will be me, whenever I fucking learn enough PHP. Hell, I've always wanted a reason to learn it. ::)
Edit 2: Not as hard as I thought, but here's (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Glossary) the basic (copy/paste) version. I'll work on it more when I'm more awake.
PHP is the devil. Perl 4 life yo!
Nightwulf
QuotePerl 4 life yo!
Just like nightwulf to be old school and use Perl4 (smiley)
Great start F-Gunk! As you see, you dont' need to know php at all to use the wiki, all you need is to lean a few wiki syntax commands. It's kind of like a new forum, just gotta figure out what bolds, what links, etc...
And don't worry buddy, you are the first fourm member to get his own RBIdb page - http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Nightwulf - whipped that up last night. If you want your full address and phone number on there, I can certainly oblige...
Please stay out of the database folks, upgrading the software....
OK, the db is back up and on the newest stable version of MediaWiki.
Tasks for today
1) Make the search give you the option to make a page. That way if you search for "Wally Joyner" and nothing comes up, you can click an option to make the page.
2) Have the software notify you immediately if you someone had added something to your talk page. The talk page is similar to a PM, you can leave other users questions/comments. Very handy to know right away if someone left you a message.
Those are today's goals... And a Harry Spilman page
OK, you can now search for a page - if there is no match for what you searched, you can click a link and create a new page. Very handy
Added a page for Darryl Strawberry (http://www.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Darryl_Strawberry), though I forgot to log in when I did it...
Nice work Nails, a few suggestions which you'll see from my edit. Don't take this as a criticism, more of advice for all
1) Always include the name of the article in the first sentence and bold it. It's a wikipedia convention and it helps with clarification.
2) Make a Wikilink for everything that might be relevant. Only wikilink the first instance of a term, not everytime on a page. You got most of them, but I added ones for RBI and NES. On wikipedia, this is tremendously useful and gets the reader going on all sorts of tangents. I might be looking up a city in England - 15 minutes later I'm looking at The Legend of Zelda or something.
Good stuff though, keep it up all!
I'll have to get contributing to this. I've done it a little before (I contributed a couple bios for WikiTwins (http://wikitwins.com/), including Dan Gladden), so I should be able to handle it.
Brilliant idea, Gantry.
WikiTwins uses MediaWiki, the same software as the RBIdb, so you'll be right at home...
I want to stress that we all have plenty of time to get this database going, so there is no rush to do anything immediately.
And for those who are intimidated by the software, just ask any questions. It's not tough, honest! If you are super-intimidated, you can post a page for a player/term/whatever here and someone can cut and paste...
But I gotta stress, if you can post on the forums you can handle the wiki. Just a learning curve...
If anyone want to start with a player bio, I wikilinked all the players in fightonusc's page:
http://www.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Overall_Player_Rankings
Just click a name and start typing a bio. It's that easy! You should sign up before working on a page if possible though. Keeps all your stuff organized and you can watch the pages you work on. That way you can always click on "my watchlist" and see if there have been any changes to the pages you made...
The notify settings work for the talk... So basically if you go to any user's Talk Page, you can leave a message and it notifies the user next time they log in. Was working all along, but regardless...
Very handy way to talk to someone about the database, because they see that they have messages until they click on their talk page.
If you want to leave a signature when using a talk page, enter "~~~~" (without the quotes) and it puts your username and the date/time in for the squigglies...
Image uploading now enabled, letting you add pics to articles. You have to be logged in, once you are you'll see an Upload file link on the toolbox on the left side. Clik away and follow the instructions...

Sure, why not?

....posterity.
Adding the unkown numbers is probably a good idea....
Simply posting/editing a page is rather simple. Nothing to it at all. Looks like the linking and whatnot is going to take practice.
I don't have the words to get across how much I love this project. Gantry for el presidente.
Links are simple, but a word in double brackets
RBI
That's it... If you are ever lost, simply click the "edit" tab on a page that's already made. You can see all the info used to make the page...
here's a tip I gave to mclane in his talk page:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/User_talk:Fknmclane
Describes how to do redirects, which basically gives one page for an item with multiple words. Such as Error and BOP, you really want them to go to the same page. Let me know if that makes any sense...
Shit, it even makes sense to me. This is far easier to use than I expected although I'm probably just at the tip of the iceberg.
The RBI Database project is fantastic and everyone needs to get on board. I'm calling out all my internet friends...
I think that each "forum bigwig" should have a page, however that page should be constructed by someone other than himself. For example, VitB constructs Gantry's, BDawk does mine, I do RDubs, etc. We could have a secret drawing like those ghey ass games all the girls in my office do around Christmas time and then they buy me gifts and I never get my person anything. Maybe this isn't such a good idea.
You've seen this, right?
Emilio on RBI Wiki. (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/CurtFlood)
i like miked's idea. i'll do fightonusc since i have an internet crush on him. and what's interesting about the RBI database is that it isn't a true database in the sense of the software.... it's more of a wiki-base, which i'm sure is a new catch phrase that everyone will be using in the future.
Yeah, it's a wiki with a database backend. RBI Database is a little easier to grasp than RBI Wiki, so I went with the former...
The beauty is the open nature. Simply start a page on anyone you want, assuming it's rbi/dee-nee relevant. I like to peruse the "Recent Changes" page and simply fix some existing stuff. Remember, nobody has "claim" to a page, feel free to expand or edit as you wish. If you change something drastically or you have a question on what they wrote, but it on that article's "talk" page.
And remember everyone, check off "watch this page" for any pages you work on. That way you can see updates to your pages. I highly recommend going to your preferences and having this be the default action:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Preferences
Under editing, check off "Add pages you edit to your watchlist"
can we steal text and stuff from other websites to put it up on player pages, or how do you want us to handle that? i think links take you away from the page which isn't always a good thing. what are your thoughts?
I've been including a list of sources at the bottom of pages if need be. You can also make a list of external links that reference things you mention in your entry.
Agreed, typically put references or at the bottom of the page under an External Links section (== External Links ==). Needless to say, anything from dee-nee proper is game for direct theft...
Is there a way to see a list of every entry into the RBI Database? I know that you can get a list of recent changes, but is there a way to just see every entry?
Good question, let me find out...
PS - Made a few edits to a couple of your pages, hopefully I didn't go overboard. Getting in a nice habit lately of clicking on recent changes and making minor sentence and link edits.....
Booyah!
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages
Lots of neat stuff under "Special Pages" on the left side.
I gotta start making categories soon, that is a great way to keep things organized. You can have a category for "Players in RBI", and with a simple wiki line at the bottom of their page, automatically add that person to the category.
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Ryne_Sandberg
someone help with pictures. i'm fkn clueless.
I wrote this off the top of my head.
I ask for some more help on the Glossary page: who'd be willing to help me split them into catagories such as Event-related (SHD Bunyan, etc) and Dee-Nee/Drinking Game related (Dee-Nee itself, Beer Bitch)? From there, we can put all the entries on their own pages.
Go right ahead with putting the entries on their own pages, most categories should be relatively easy to figure out. If you have any questions with specifics, fire away...
I made a category for glossary terms, simply put

At the end of your article, and it'll get added to the page. Example:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Lefty_Hit
Notice the category at the bottom...
Page constructed for Baines. (http://www.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Baines)
Likewise, a category for forum members (http://www.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Category:Forum_Members). Simply add to the bottom of any member's db entry and they will get added...
Thanks, Gantry. I'm working on fixing things right now.
And if anybody does a page on me, I consider myself a 'second-tier' member of Dee-Nee, since I don't post much of anything useful :P
I've got up to Dee-Nee and Dah-Nah into the Category by themselves, but I'm dozing off. Free shot to finish it, guys.

For some reason the link doesn't work for me. It shows up under All Articles (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages), but is blank when I open it in a new tab. And nothing happens when I try to open it in the current tab/window...

QuoteI also editted fknmclane's oquendo page; I hope you don't mind.
Nobody should mind having pages edited, that is the beauty of the Wiki software. If you made a change you think was drastic (like removing a large chunk of another user's info), simply go to the talk page of that article and explain why.
Every page has a history page that people can see every single change that appeared on that article. People can revert to old changes or what not, so no data is ever lost in the wiki. Therefore, edit as much as you like, on any page....

Next step is creating a new database, exporting the old database to a file, then importing the file to the new database...

Cool new tips for pictures, you can make them nicely scaled pics on the right side with a caption. Use this syntax

Here are a couple examples:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Malnuboy
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Jose_Canseco
The good thing about that format is you put the pic as the first line and it doesn't affect the rest of your formatting. Hella cool!

OK I took my first crack at this thing tonight, I added a testimonial to Nightwulfs profile, I quoted myself yet didn't link my name, I wasn't sure how.
What do you guys think? I pobaly should have put "Testimonial Section" in bold or something.

Good start Malnu! I made a slight amendment and put quotes in their own section. Click edit on the article to see what I did. May help for the next page.
Now that I think about it. Having a "choice quotes" section for forum members is a great idea! Find some good quotes they posted on the forums and add to the section. Shit, if they make a funny post tomorrow, hit the Database and add it to their section.
I'm off to hunt for some more nightwulf quotes...

The more hands on it, the better. Someone do a quick template and people can alter during the day. I think the key is to get a basic page up, then others can come in and edit. I know for me it's easiest to come in and edit a page than start anew.
Step one - quantity
Step two - quality
The work so far has been amzaing look how many terms (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages) we've gotten up in a few days. Already got about 1/5th of the NES RBI players in there, just awesome...
Gantry I just noticed there is a Forums Glossary page and a Glossary Terms page, its seems these should be put into one page perhaps, or are we trying to keep the RBI terms seperate from the Forum terms
Yeah, one for the more general RBI terms (BOP, Glitch) and one for the forum stuff (vike, fkn). The beauty of the categories is that they aren't really pages. Categories are kind of a container for other pages - the good thing is that an article can belong to multiple pages....
Plenty of quality updates, well done for today! I don't forsee any more database problems in the future, I know what happened and can easily fix if it happens again...
At the rate we're going, the RBI Database will have more information than dee-nee proper within a month. That is the goal, keep on adding stuff....
Gotcha.... The problem with your page with definitely on our end and was related to why the db went down for awhile....
As for new pages, you probably know now but - if you search for a topic and there is no result, you can click a link to start an article with what you searched for. Probably the easiest way to make a page...
The BoSox pages was awesome, keep it up...
Impressive work so far ShitPaw, great to see the unique topics you are pulling out. RBIbetical Order is a great idea too...

Pics can always be added by anyone, case in point:

As I do more, I'm starting to worry about naming convetion/duplication. If you thing there is a better name for one of my pages go ahead and change it.
Also if I duplicate something already done (I think I just did this with my ratings explanation) I guess we can worry about this later, and just delete what we don't need?
I noticed that there are a few forum members that have their own page or whatever but cannot be found at the Forum Members page. I tried to add Ryno to the page but I kept fucking something up.
QuoteAlso if I duplicate something already done (I think I just did this with my ratings explanation) I guess we can worry about this later, and just delete what we don't need?
Exactly, we'd always rather have too much data than too little. some of your ratings stuff overlaps, but we can use your pitcher ratings for example. What we can do is copy/past most of the pitcher stuff since they don't have pages yet. Everything can be used, keep on posting!
PS - For your pitcher speeds table (great page BTW) you might want to edit one of the teams page or fightonusc overall player rankings page to see how they did it and make a table. That's the beauty of wiki, you can look how other people organized the data and use it on your own pages...

You need to add a [[Category:
Category Name]] tag at the very bottom of the article. You want to make sure
Category name is the same as a previous category, including capitals and the like. You can find the Categories so far on this page:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Categories
You can also make your own category. Say for Ryno you want to make a new category, you can do:

And save the page. The first time you click on the category, it'll take you to a blank page to write a description. Save and that's it!
Does all this make sense?

Holy crap, that looks time intensive.
I created an account but was a little overwhelmed by the interface. I was having trouble posting my microsoft paint drawings last night so I think I'll just steer clear but it looks like alot of fun. I only wish I were clever with these new fangled computers.
Just give it a shot, easier than you think. Just type an article (or edit a previous one) and type away like it's a forum post . Don't worry about the fancy stuff yet, just add text. Someone else can make it bold or whatever, content is the most important thing...
I feel kinda stupid. I can see where it wants me to edit a post, but how do I start a new one?
Search for a term and if there is no page, it'll ask you to create a new article....
Is there some way to see a list of all pages created?
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages
The "Special Pages" link in your toolbox has quite a few neat thingies...
Well done ShitPaw! Here's your chance to help out folks, find pictures of your favorite RBIer to add to shitpaws pages. Proper team, proper playing context...
Shitpaw's found some great pics so far, I don't know how he's done it to be honest...
I've been making sure each player page photo is formatted the same for a uniform apperance.
I'll be on the lookout for some of the other player photos for the "RBIers with the . . ." pages.
Good work on the pics Hath, gave me inspiration to do the Doug DeCinces page (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Doug_DeCinces)..
Man shitpaw, those are some tough pics to find. Found one of Raines in about 30 seconds, one of Righetti on the giants and nothing else. Dah Nah...
Feel free to help folks, try to find some of the more obscure player pics Shitpaw listed. If anything, attach here and we'll put on the db..
Shitpaw is a fucking wildman. Nicely done.

Excellent Mark, just hit the wiki and start making pages! Let me know if you have any questions. The key is to edit a page that is already made to see how some of the special text items are made....

I'm working on Wade now.
Nice work so far, both of you! We keep this up and we'll have a page for every RBIer by the tourney!

I would interpret back end, here, to mean the second person to steal - runners on the corners, guy on first breaks for second. The throw is mishandled, Sutcliffe breaks for home from third and scores. Back end.

if the throw was mishandled, it should be an error and not a stolen base.
Depends on the scorer, though - maybe the runner slid hard and knocked the ball into centerfield. Or something to that effect.

Nice work mclane! Couple things to remember:
1) Be sure and add categories at the bottom of every page. At the very least and should be the last two lines of a player page. This puts them in that category and it keeps things organized in groups.
2) For pics, be sure and use "thumb" and add a description.
Probably easiest to understand if you look at one of your own pages.
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Don_Mattingly
If you go to "history", you can compare your last version to the one I just did. From there you can see what I added to get the categories and description in the picture.
Good workmate, keep it up!
Thanks for cleaning those up, Gantry. For the life of me I could not remember how to do the corner picture or the categories for that matter. I'll get a few more done tonight.

that little tidbit from the world baseball classic article on mlb.com. apparently the secret weapon will be managing puerto rico's team.
I must ask, why is this on the DB thread? If you think it should be added, simply go to the Jose Oquendo page (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Oquendo), anyone can click "Edit" and add content. If you get confused with the editing process, ask a question and we'll answer it...

A little late, but that was my entire point. ANYONE can edit the db - if you post on a thread waiting for me to update shit does not get done. Fighton has the right system going on right now - he's posting player updates on the forums and adding the info to their RBIdb thread. Shit, even Denny fkn Walling has a nice page now (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Denny_Walling) thanks to usc...
This post has no point other than to continue to drum up support for the database. But hey, there isn't a single Wikipedia link in here...
Teddyballgame has joined on the recent RBI Database fun. In honor, everyone should help update his page which I just created:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php?title=Teddyballgame&rcid=6485
please.... be gentle.
Page is shaping up nicely, even BDawk chimed in! Teddy - edit your page to see how I made the image a caption.
did you unsticky this thread??
Yeah, because nobody worked on it for the longest time... I will resticky if the action stays fast n' furious...
This thread is a good spot to leave some links to work you have done. Especially since most of the non-database-updaters will not look at the recent changes page.
PS - You gonna add those uploaded images to the saberhagen and herr pages? Don't forget to use the "thumb" part of the image tage to add a caption. Look at other pages (such as your userpage) if you don't know how...
Tom Brookens updated. Not a ton, but enough to get the point across
i'm bad at images... save me natty gann! (the saberhagen pic is unnecessary because someone already put one up.)
Nice work BDawk! You reversed the linking on the Bio page. You want to link the sections like Home Runs, not the actual number he had. That lets you click on the "Home Runs" link to get to the page that discusses how Home Runs affect RBI. Did some cleanup, check out the history page here (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php?title=Tom_Brookens&action=history) and compare my version and yours. You can see what I took out and what I added...
Again, nice work. That basic info is what the player pages need most...
I see. Next time, I'll do it right

Yeah, disregard the Saberhagen one since it's the exact same pic. What I like to do if I don't know how someone did a page is simply to edit it and copy/past with my own info.
So goto a page with the image caption the way you like it in the upperhand corner (such as fighton's Denny Walling page (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Denny_Walling)) and copy/paste his line into the Herr page. Then edit that pasted line relevant for Herr. Try it out and post again if you get stuck...

Thanks for cleaning it up. A couple of things:
-how did you get the "traded by" items to fit on one line and not look like shit? I didn't see anything fancy
-how do we talk on a page again? I must be retarded

There is a "discussion" tab at the top of every page. Say your piece and add four tildes (like this ~~~~) to the end. It'll put your name and the date. If you want to talk to me directly so it'll tell me I have messages click on my username (like in the history or recent pages) and goto my personal discussion page.
So to recap:
1) My personal discussion page if you want to ask me a wiki or db question.
2) A discussion page for an entry if you want to talk directly about that entry (such as Pena's disucssion page and ask "you think we should add XXX to pena's bio?""
Quote
-how did you get the "traded by" items to fit on one line and not look like shit? I didn't see anything fancy
When I edited the page I noticed you had an extra Return/Enter character in there. So I joined the two lines together, that's all. Basically it wasn't doing word wrap but had an actual enter in there...
I have a serious fucking problem with this page (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/PurpleCobrasRBI). I would really, really like to wipe it out, especially since the little shit edited it yesterday and knows what he did. Gantry, you don't have to tell me to do it. Just look the other way.
Nah, leave it in tact for now... I am giving him an ultimatum to answer my allegations about the vandalism. Don't worry buddy, I'm handling it...
PS - I did a slight cleanup to Nacho's page, most important of which is to bold the term in the first sentence. Kind of a wikipedia convention, always use the name in the first sentence and bold it. I also redirected the "Sally" page to go straight to Nacho. That way if someone searches sally, it'll go right there:
http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Sally
ericdavisfan has the best database page ever.

I see nothing when I search for ericdavisfan.

Okay, a http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Dee-Nee_forums_history (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Dee-Nee_forums_history) page has been created. It's hardly finished but I would like some feedback as to the format. Does it work for everyone? If you think a thread or beaten-down joke belongs, simply add it.
Looks like a good start to me. The board overviews mean that perhaps this should be the main forum page when all is said and done. Keep working away, but don't burn yourself out...

nice work Mclane
Thank you, sir.
Links have been added for "classic threads" for each board. I KNOW I didn't get all of them so anyone please feel free to comb the archives of dee nee and add. The anything goes list is already quite long so for the sake of not making the page nothing but links, please only add if truly classic. The section that needs the most work is the "classic jokes" in the anything goes summary.
Gantry, it didn't exactly turn out the way I would have liked. I set out to do a chronology of the dee-nee forums but instead went overboard and gave the mother of all summaries. Is there any way to perhaps change the title of the page to simple Dee-Nee Forums? I found that a chronology is impossible as just way too much goes on here everyday.
Good choice of classic NCAA wrestling threads
Good job, Mclane...but you might want to change "MR RBI is band" to "MR RBI is banned." That is to say, unless he is a music group.

Excellent idea, I went ahead and made this the main page for "Dee-Nee Forums" (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Dee-Nee_Forums) and now all pages or links to terms like Forums, Forum and your Dee-Nee Forum History go here. It's definitely a great overview of the forums and deserve the spot for the main page. Well done!
I also did a little work to the Anything Goes Section (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Dee-Nee_Forums#Anything_Goes), you may want to follow that lead for the other boards. I alphabetized the links and change the CLASSIC JOKES and CLASSIC THREADS headers to use the "===" convention:
Basically doing
=== CLASSIC JOKES === instead of
CLASSIC JOKES make it a subheading under the
== ANYTHING GOES == section. This is good because it'll put those subheadings automatically into the table of contents up top, making navigation easier. Hope that makes sense, give it a whirl for the other sections.
You are also getting the hang of wikilinking everything close, even if they don't have a page yet. What I often do is start to create new pages based off red wikilinks from a page I just made. In the case of your page, I'm going to make a Moses page because I see the empty link right now. Sometimes the best way to get an idea for a new page without thinking about it...
Again, awesome job and keep up the good work!
Thank you sir. The red links were my next step.
And thanks for making the jokes/threads part of the table of contents. I wasn't quite sure how to get that done without cluttering the page up.
Now you know, and knowing is half the battle... You have gift son, all you gotta do is use it...
Bumpst...shouldn't this be stickied anyway, Gantry?

How do I change the URL for a page? I happened to notice in the team list that Cincinnati is spelled wrong - I fixed it on the team list page and just made the link point to the misspelled page, but it'd be better to have the page spelled right. There's not much of anything on the "Cincinatti" page, so I could just create a new Cincinnati page, but it seems like there should be a "better" solution.
Depending on how much work I can dodge today, I'm going to make my first major forays into RBIDB editing. I did a couple bits and pieces on a Twins wiki project (never really got off the ground, sadly), so I'm at least somewhat familiar with the system. One of my Twins wiki pages was for Gladden, so he'll be my first attempt (other than minor edits, which I've already done a few of) in the RBIDB.
Beef - you can use to the "move" tab to change the name of a page. You only want to do that if the new page hasn't been created yet. If the page has been created and you don't mind losing the content of the incorrectly spelled page, you can do a redirect.
#REDIRECT Cincinnati
That'll send all requests for "Cincinatti" to "Cincinnati" - if that doesn't make sense, let me know...

Nice work mclane! Not to piss in your Cheerios, but you are making even more work for yourself! To use the template you can reference it by name and fill in the information. Here is an example you can copy/paste:

This fills in all the fields, including the wikilinks and "RBI Stats" heading. I went ahead and adjusted the Brenly page (http://www.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Bob_Brenly), go ahead and give it a whirl on the Pat Sheridan page (http://www.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php?title=Pat_Sheridan&action=edit), which you also did. Simply copy/paste the text above, fill in for the relevant player and you are all set!
Then, whenever you do a new page, copy/past the text from here or another player page. Make it nice and simple. Let me know how it treats you...

You just blew my mind. That's gonna take me a while to wrap my head around. Hmm...
Once you do it once, simply copy/paste that info in from another player. Like everything else on the wikipedia, it's easy once you get the hang of it...
The good thing about using templates is that once I decide to create a nifty-looking table/graph for the player stats, everyone using the template will switch over immediately. Short term is looks like barely the same amount of work but in the long term using templates is great when we switch beyond simple bullets for the RBI Stats...

Nice work Beef! I made a few changes, mostly cosmetic (added a "Gladden the Player" section to separate from the bullets in Bio) and adding more links.
If you get a chance, try to use the advice I gave above for mclane to convert his RBI stats via the template. It's a good habit to get down...

I didn't see the quote about the ratings/stats template until I had already edited the page - the page had some filler for the ratings (the names of the ratings were there, but not the values), so I assumed that was what was supposed to be there. The template will be used in the future.
this is a cool page i found that has to do with the detroit tigers. i don't know if we want to steal any info or pics? from it or what, but here it is:
http://tigerscentral.com/history.php?year=1987
(strangely enough, i found it while looking for ted power pictures because of strassy's baseball card thread)
That is a solid page, I'll link it on the Detroit Team page...
You can certain steal pics as they stole them from baseball cards anyway. If you use a block of text simply link back as a reference...
I noticed that Teddyballgame added a Career Statistics table to Bobby Grich's page. I'm not sure if TBG came up with that idea or not, but it's good idea...
Anyways, two more templates should probably be created. Just like we have the two templates for RBI stats, we'll want templates for career pitching stats and career batting stats.
I'm off to bed, otherwise I'd probably look into it...
...ok, I partially lied. I am going to bed, but I'm also very lazy.

Oh, and I threw together a page for Puckett yesterday, too, and I used the template this time. I also put Gladden's hitting stats into template form.
From the looks of those stats, I'm gonna say they belong to Mr. Kent Hrbek? Although I'm surprised to find he broke the 100 RBI barrier but one time.

You are correct. And that is surprising - it didn't help that the Twins' leadoff man (Gladden) couldn't get on base and Puckett cleared the bases a lot with homers, so I guess I can see how it would happen.

Do we want year-by-year stats, rather than just career ones? That'd throw quite a monkeywrench in the templates, I think, as well as taking a lot more work to enter into the DB.
Year by year would be nice, but at this point it's overkill. We need real pages for every RBI'er before we're hand-entering stats for a whole career, especially since baseball reference does a fine job of it anyway...
I was just doing some editing on the Sandberg page (I didn't mess with ShitPaw's opus; just adding the template and bio data to the beginning of the article), and I noticed that there's no good way to show a player's stats for both the arcade and NES versions of RBI. As a placeholder, I have the batter template filled in twice, but I'd prefer to just make a quick copy of the template with a different title. How does one go about editing the templates?
I also just filled in the Cubs arcade page - it would be good to have an ArcadeTeams template like the one for the NES teams that goes at the bottom of the page.
i find it odd that Sandberg's power rating is lower in Arcade, yet I've hit tons more homers with the arcade version of Sandberg.
Good job on the edit.
You get my official seal of approval.
I added ArcadeBatter and NESBatter templates, for players who appear in both games. I've only filled them in for Ryno and the Hawk so far, but keep them in mind, especially for Houston players.
I haven't edited any pitchers who are in both versions; I'll make copies of the pitcher template if/when I do.
Nice work Beef! I have been super slacking on the db lately, your work is much appreciated...
3 things (this should probably go on a talk page, but I think this is more likely to be looked at):
1) I was doing some edits on the year pages (adding stuff for Sandberg, mostly), and I was thinking that it would be good to list RBIers who made All-Star teams each year on the page for that year. Do others agree that this should have its own heading? That seems to me to be the cleanest way to do it. Similar headers could be used for Gold Gloves and/or Silver Sluggers. Example:
RBI All-Stars
American League: Kirby Puckett, Wade Boggs
National League: Tony Gwynn, Enrico Palazzo
RBI Gold Glove Winners
etc.
EDIT: I'm adding this for the 1987 entry. It can be purged if it is ugly.
2) How does the banning process work on a wiki? Gantry has cleaned up multiple spam edits from "Yourname", and I just caught another one between my edits this morning and this afternoon (the Don Robinson page; I'm sure that brought them tons of traffic).
3) I do not have a database page. If rdub can start a whole thread on the subject, I figure I am within my rights to casually mention it at the end of a post in a thread only three people will probably read anyway.

All these spam entries are done via computer scripts, "Yourname" is likely just a default name. Manually banning users probably won't do a damn thing, so I typically don't take the time.
I don't know why Mediwiki (the software that runs the RBIdb and Wikipedia) doesn't have an option to verify email addresses before signup. That would eliminate 98% of all spam out there..
Great work so far Beefmaster, please keep it up. Lips, Vit and I have a 12 hour drive to Oklahoma tomorrow for the wrestling, so there will be a good chunk of database updates. Now that Lipitz is stuck in a car with me, he has no choice but to do some editing...

Bumpst for MrOJ...how about an explanation?
Here is my explination... most likely a shitty one...
I searched for MrOrangeJuice on Yahoo! and the 2nd result was the page you made of me on the RBI Database.. it talked shit about me, most of which was most likely true ???, but it pissed me off with the other shit. So out of retaliation i got mad and deleted a few pages. Yes, stupid, I know. As for Gantry's message, I don't think I ever got one, and if I did must have deleted it b/c when I go to my messages Gantry has never sent me one.
Sorry guys...
douche...
How did you get your name?
You seem like a handsome kid...do you have any pics of you in a cowboy hat?
I have added the SpamBlacklist extension to the RBIdb. Everytime you try to save a page, it checks a master list of websites that are known for being listed in wiki spam. If the page you are trying to save links to a website on that list, it blocks the save and gives you an error. This will hopefully elminiate 95% of the spam edits on the site. Let me know if you have any trouble with it...
I've added all the Cities of Birth to the RBI Birthdays page (http://dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/RBI_Birthdays). All the Mets were missing, so along the way I edited the players pages if they were missing Baseball Reference links or small bios. Nothing too glamorous, but the Birthdays page is complete and some pages went from zero info to a smidge of info..
I'm ready to get the RBI Database back online and it this point it's probably best to start from scratch. There was so much spam that it's pretty much worthless to migrate the data over from the old server to ward. The size of the RBI Database (despite having maybe a couple hundred pages) is actually 20% larger than the forums and its 500,000+ posts! That's because spammers were changing the pages hundreds of times a day and the history went out of whack.
I moved my work wiki and my punkdatabase.com wiki to ward, so I have the steps down. Here is what I'm envisioning:
1)
Done! Setup a new wiki on ward for the RBI Database, with the newest version of MediaWiki - http://wiki.dee-nee.com
2)
Done! Keep the old wiki in it's current spot - http://dee-nee.com/wiki
3) Manually copy every page over by hand
4) Manually copy over every Image over by hand (this is the big PITA)
So what I'm looking for is some folks that are willing to join me in this project. It's simply a lot of gruntwork, steps would go like this:
1) Open up a page on the old wiki
2) Click "Edit" to get the raw wiki source, or find the newest non-spam version in the history
3) Select All -> Copy
4) Create the same page on the new DB
5) Paste
Rinse and repeat for every page on the wiki. If we got enough people we'd probably divvy up the pages by letter or something.
What we'd lose by doing it this way - all accounts and version history. That's a bummer but it's better than no site at all or migrating over thousands of spam edits.
I'd get into more detail about how to pull this off, but all I want to know now is who'd be in to help. The more people we have, the less work there is to do. If we get enough people to chip in 15-45 minutes of time, this can be done in no time.
Who is with me?
if someone sent me a package with a half of weed, i could get it completely done in a week.
if that doesn't bode well, i can just pitch in, too.
Good to hear, going to wait a few days and see who can help out - from there will divide up the tasks:

me too. first time in a long time.
I'm game to help.
We got two people, keep em coming. The images are going to take forever, but I don't see an easier way of doing it. The were pretty drastic database changes between the old & new versions of the wiki software so just dumping that on table won't do the job.
Gonna be brutal, I think I'll just do 10 images every time I sidle up to the computer. That way I'll be done by 2011
I think the best way to start is by creating a lot of pages and let them be altered a little at a time
Not following, sorry. If you create a page on the new wiki, you can copy/paste all the info from the old wiki into it. It's just a matter of divvying up the pages so ones person can do all "A" pages - and so on.
All the pictures with letter "A" are done.
Shitpaw didn't get nearly enough credit for all the work he did on the RBIdb, he must have put 10+ hours into it
I just copied over nearly 50 pictures of Marty Barrett, Shitpaw was a fkn machine...

Le|v|0N3D!!!!
i'm a little confused by this process since i'm not much of a wiki'r and i think i haven't worked on the databse in 4 years.
does the original downing page exist? or the good text anywhere?
Ste basic steps:
1) Open up the page on the old database
2) Click on the "history" tab
3) Click on the most recent date that was edited by a human
4) Click the "edit" tab
5) Copy all text (Ctrl-A then Ctrl-C)
6) On the new database, search for the exact title of the page
7) When it doesn't find it, there will be an option to create a new page
8) Paste
9) Profit!

Rinse and repeat for every page on the wiki.
Who is Rinse and why am I being associated with this D-bag?
Rinse is the cooler guy thats why his name is first. HE should be the one complaining.
:'(
I'm finally through with the B's in images, mercy...
Nice work JerryD, see you've been transferring some pages over
C's images are done. I think I'll do a letter a day (or two if they have few images) so it should be done in a couple weeks.
Still looking for volunteers - I think the best approach would be for someone to step up and transfer over all articles for a letter or two. We get enough people it shouldn't take more than a week...

nope
I'll try to get a few done, but it's looking like a busy week of work, so I won't promise anything at the moment - I'll just start with some late-in-the-alphabet letters if I have time. If nothing else, I'll be up late Wednesday evening and should be able to do a bunch then.
That's perfectly fine, anyone who wants to help can simply claim a letter when they start working on it and we'll go from there. Jerry is updating some of the more important pages so make sure you go to Special Pages --> All Pages before you start and see what pages in your letter have already been transferred over. I am going to focus on the Images and all the special pages (templates, categories, etc) on an as need basis.

is that a joke?
Is there a new link to the rbi wiki pages?
I still have the db itself, but completely riddled with spam. If people are willing to contribute, we'd have to bring it along as invite-only, go page by page and find the non-spam version, reupload all the images (I may be able to automate this) and start fresh.
Basically it means starting a new DB and manually copy-pasting all the data from the old db in there. Given how many spam edits were made on the old wiki (literally thousands if i had to guess) there's no way to salvage it in any worthwhile way.
It's a big undertaking, probably would take more than Shitpaw to get the ship righted. If people are willing to try (even in small doses, maybe each member taking a team and all their players) then I'm willing to bring it back.
I can't even remember what kind of info it entailed...enlighten me? I think it died shortly before I got here...
Same software as mediawiki - had entries for just about all the teams, players and lots of awesome custom pages that ShitPaw made. It turned into quite a resource...

Now that the fantasy season is over, going to bring this back up.
If I can get at least 2-3 more people to commit to doing this, we can bring back the DB. Like I said, it's mostly going to the old wiki, finding the last non-spam version, copy pasting to the same page on the new version and repeat. Will have to re-upload all the images too which will be a royal PITA but if we can get a solid few contributors with other members taking one team (maybe 30 minutes of work) then we can bring back this resource. Who is in?
Fuck it, I'm making this happen. Going to get the initial wiki up and running today (with no content) then get the old server up tomorrow to start he manual transfer processs.
OK the base site is up:
http://wiki.dee-nee.com (http://wiki.dee-nee.com)
It's locked down to registered users only and there's a security question when you try to sign up. Anyone interested and try to create and account, lets make sure you get an email confirmation and there's a question in there. DO NOT try to edit anything, I'll bring up the old site tomorrow and write up an explanation on what to do.
I'm in...
I'll throw my hat into the ring as well.
Sweet! Can someone try to create an account and make sure it all goes smoothly? You should get a very easy question about the wiki's contents and a confirmation email.
I'll be away from June 1st-June 16th, but I would like to work on New York Mets page when I get back if that is okay.
Great, I got the old wiki up:
http://oldwiki.dee-nee.com (http://oldwiki.dee-nee.com)
It's a fkn mess, here's the general steps to copy/paste items from the old to the new:
1) Make sure you are logged into the new site http://wiki.dee-nee.com (http://wiki.dee-nee.com)
2) On oldwiki.dee-nee.com - go to the page you want - easier said than done
3) Click History
4) Click the date of the earliest version you can find that doesn't look like spam.
5) Click the "edit" button
6) Copy and paste all the wiki stuff to the corresponding page on the new version
7) After copying to the new site, click save to put the latest non-spam version on the the old version
You do #7 because this gets the old wiki with a non-spam page so you can click on links and repeat the process with a new page. If there are any images on the page, you have to click on them, download them to your local computer, then re-upload with the same name (which should be the default).
Let me know if this makes any sense, as this is going to be fucking mess. I've only done the main page and teams page so far.
OK got the logo up, good thing to remember so you don't get screwed up where you are:
The old wiki is titled RBIdb on the tab
The new wiki is titled The RBI Baseball Database
OK got the cali team up and if people are doing other teams you have to take the bgcolor="888888" out of all the tables as they are too dark.
Also got the NES teams template.
You know, there may not be as many pages as I thought, though it's hard to tell since the spammers created hundreds of dummy pages. Maybe there's a way to look at "oldest created pages" - if we can do that we can go one-by-one.
Done for now, as to no surprise I'm getting no work done.
Oh, BTW, by "I'm in" I meant I created an account and it worked...that wasn't clear before.
Every little bit helps, I'm going to work on it more this evening - do the weird, poorly linked stuff like templates - not to mention all of the players for California. I'll probably just spend an hour and do as many pages as I can. There's certainly no rush on this thing since it has been dead for ages.
Good call - then you get only legit edits by user.
Can you give a link to a page without an original history? The site was moved to different servers, but I haven't seen something that had no dee-nee members at the bottom of the history.

Pretty much every team site, as far as I can see. But I think I'm missing something. I didn't think you could delete history like that.
Well that's just fucked up, no idea what's happening there. I'll look into it later tonight, wonder if I have to go all the way back to the original wiki on the old server.
I saw the same thing when I tried to do Boston.
Where is the team template again?

I'm ready to get the RBI Database back online and it this point it's probably best to start from scratch. There was so much spam that it's pretty much worthless to migrate the data over from the old server to ward. The size of the RBI Database (despite having maybe a couple hundred pages) is actually 20% larger than the forums and its 500,000+ posts! That's because spammers were changing the pages hundreds of times a day and the history went out of whack.
I moved my work wiki and my punkdatabase.com wiki to ward, so I have the steps down. Here is what I'm envisioning:
1) Done! Setup a new wiki on ward for the RBI Database, with the newest version of MediaWiki - http://wiki.dee-nee.com (http://wiki.dee-nee.com)
2) Done! Keep the old wiki in it's current spot - http://dee-nee.com/wiki (http://dee-nee.com/wiki)
3) Select All -> Copy
So this would explain things, starts on page 16 - the oldwiki was our first attempt to start a new db from scratch because of spam. Looks like we didn't get very far with it. It appears we need to revive the original db and work from there as oldwiki doesn't have most of the content (which is why there is no history for Boston, a spammer originally made the page) - the plot thickens.
Let me see if I can get the original wiki up. Fuck spammers
Said wiki isn't on ward, which was already retired. It was on the OLD server, guess I'll have to hook that bad boy up and work from it. Three hour tour...
So definitely incomplete, following the discussion from pages 16-19. Looks like I started to do all the Images and made it to the letter F. I guess we should start here:
http://oldwiki.dee-nee.com/index.php?title=Special:PrefixIndex&from=&namespace=6 (http://oldwiki.dee-nee.com/index.php?title=Special:PrefixIndex&from=&namespace=6)
But before we do that I should make sure the old wiki is even accessible on the old server before we waste any more time on this. If we can't get the old wiki back, this project may be dead in the water. I'll check when at the office tomorrow, sorry for the delay.
You're doing a great job, keep it up!
thx
link to the images for later:
http://oldwiki.dee-nee.com/index.php?title=Special:PrefixIndex&from=&namespace=6 (http://oldwiki.dee-nee.com/index.php?title=Special:PrefixIndex&from=&namespace=6)
OK the OG wiki is up and it looks like it has all the data:
http://firstwiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/ (http://firstwiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/)
I know the URL is a little confusing, but work with me. Don't have any more time, but I think that all the data we are looking for. It also has less spam than oldwiki, so I don't think we should use that anymore. Pretty sure it's the exact same data.
Just tried the example from before, and the Boston page is there. Transferred to the new wiki. Have at it people!
I'm going to start on the images, as it's the most tedious. Here's a page of all wiki pages from the old one:
http://firstwiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages (http://firstwiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Allpages)
If we get a bunch of people take a letter or two and copy them over we'll have it done in no time.
A's are done - the new mediawiki lets you drag an image right to the upload page - saves time. Going to take a ton of time regardless.

This might be a firefox thing because it also works on Dee-Nee. Approved...
Looks like the wiki syntax has changed, look at the picture orientation of new & old Marty Barrett pages:
Old:
http://firstwiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Marty_Barrett (http://firstwiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/index.php/Marty_Barrett)
New:
http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Marty_Barrett (http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Marty_Barrett)
We'll have to figure that out sooner rather than later, as we may have to edit a bunch of pages that use that format. But I'm taking a break for now...
DEE-NEE!!!
Thanks to some fucking around and Mediwiki's importImages.php script (http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:ImportImages.php) all 1500+ images are now on the new wiki. Saves A FUCKTON of time.
Shitpaw has been adding more stuff to the new wiki, a hearty thanks. I'm going to start with the years and kind of work my way alphabetically, up to 1951 now. Also filling in categories and random links as I go along. Should have all the years in by the end of the day.
Re-created all the pages starting with a number again. Also filled in some auxillary pages and most of the categories along the way. Come across this page, which I completely forgot about:
http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Santee,_California (http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Santee,_California)
Finished all the articles that start with "A" in addition to random other pages and categories along the way. Question, look at the Hall of Shame:
http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Hall_of_Shame (http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Hall_of_Shame)
Right now it barely says anything and links to the dee-nee proper page. You should I should take the original page, wikify it and put it in the database? The benefits would be that anyone can add entries and it can be a living page. Downside is that it would take away from the main site, though it's pretty much dead anyway. Thoughts?
Yeah, two copies should be easy enough to do. I'll go that route....
OK made a VERY rough initial page for the HOS:
http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Hall_of_Shame (http://wiki.dee-nee.com/wiki/Hall_of_Shame)
Let me know if you like the smaller heading (Aldrete/Barrett) or the larger one (Alexander/Backman) for separating the players. I can't decide and should come up with one before I wiki the page up.
Added all the pages that started with "B" - still a long way to go. Filled in other various pages, categories, etc along the way. Put a counter on the main page, up to 221 articles.
Works in the "C"s now, will be done by the end of the day
Great job with the players, they take me quite a bit of time to make compared to the short pages. When we get done we'll recruit people to take a team (or 3-4 players) and expand on the content. I'll post redirect pages for anyone by their last name when I see them.
All the "C"'s are done. Going to do at least a letter a day durning non-weekends.
D's are done
Nice work Shitpaw, check it out people:

Donnie Moore (Brewers)
Rob Wilfong (Giants)
Rafael Santana (Indians)
Wally Backman (Mariners)
Doug Corbett (Orioles)
Calvin Schiraldi (Rangers)
Frank Viola (Reds)
Terry Puhl (Royals)
Dave Righetti (White Sox)
A pretty big improvement to a pretty unnecessary part of the wiki pages, but I'll feel good when everyone has a photo for every team they've played for. I'm not sure why, but I will.
