running the risk of sounding like a complete retard--do any of you know how to get back to a roster that I was working on and saved earlier?  

this site is really cool--but as a first timer and often timer idiot, i am having a little trouble navigating through it.

As long as it was saved, it should be in the list of your ROMs on the "Load" page. Make sure you're logged in if you don't see it. Failing that, you can try reloading it as dvldog suggested. Let me know if you can't find it; I'll see what's saved server-side.

It won't let me scroll down to where it says "batters" and "pitchers", which is where the rosters would be.  I have to basically highlight the area and drag my cursor down for it to appear.

Which browser (software and version) are you using? This is the first I've heard of this error.

I do intend to continue work on the editor, and have a few additions planned already. Some day ...

Nightwulf...I can load my ROM, but I can never get back to the rosters that I typed in.  Chances are that I did something wrong in the first place.  I'll retype it, but can you help me figure out how to find the teams after loading a saved game?
