I'm new to this forum, and I must say, I am pleased that so many are dedicated to this great game!  If anyone knows, I was wondering whether or not certain pitchers are better at batting then others.  My friend that I play with exclusivlely plays with the Cardinals, and I play only with the Twinkies.  Even though we are evenly matched, I tend to get more hits per game.  However, he seems to get more hits with the cardinal pitching staff than I do.... what is the deal?

I've never really thought any pitchers were better hitters than others.  However, what you claim makes sense since the St. Louis Cardinals are the greatest baseball team of all time.  All personal beliefs aside, the only pitcher homerun I have ever seen in RBI was Ken Dayley on the birds.

Personally i've always liked Krukow's bat, but i have a feeling that all pitchers are really equal, and the fact that some seem better than others is just random luck.

most pitchers suck ass... however, i have noticed that blyleven, sutton and krukow are pretty good with the lumber... must be a connection cause all these guys are now in the t.v. booth doing color commentary.

I beleive that all pithcers are the same in the batters box.  I seem to be able to get a lucky hit out of any pitcher.  They all lack the ability to go long which makes them all the same to me.  I've said it before, but ill take a pinch hitter over a pitcher any day.

There probably isn't any difference between the pitchers, but I still do best with Don Sutton at the plate...

Pitchers probably do have the same abilities.  But it all has to do with their confidence levels.  And momentum.  Pitchers are streaky hitters because of those reasons.  And after a couple 0-3 games, they get down in the dirt and sometimes never get out of it.

Schrld or Schfld?

Bert Blyleven has won the final Player of the Week award on our site due to his astounding hitting capabilities (mistergugi.tripod.com/bipolarrockhour/rbi.htm).  Which means that I agree somewhat with Gwynn3k.

That may address the issue some.  Hope it helps.

Always good to see another RBI site out there schrld, I'll be sure to add it to the links page.  What name should I give it?

Bi-Polar Rock Hour RBI page?....I don't really know.  Our radio show is over now that school's out and I'm graduating, so I was just going to leave it as is for a while and then take it down eventually.    Don't worry about adding it...  Thanks, though.

We just wanted to make sure we paid homage to the great things in life while we had access to such an international medium.  But all good things must come to an end.....

It's been added to the Links page:

Even if you won't be updating it, I'd like to get any and all RBI sites on the links page.  The more, the merrier...

It's all downhill after graduation in terms of fun & free time.  Sad but true...  If I started this site in college it would have been about 3 times the size...
