Rebel Alliance rout Awesome BadAsses, keep playoff hopes alive

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Rebel Alliance got superb offense and a great pithing effort from the 'Rocket' as they routed the Badasses 15-5 in 6 innings.

J.Leonard went 4-5 and scored 4 runs and the Alliance got some power from the bottom of their line-up as Molitor and Santiago each homered. R.Clemens  struck out 3 batters and only allowed 5 runs on 9 hits in 6 innings of work.

The Rebel Alliance need to win their finale against the OC and they need an Artichoke loss in order to move on to the playoffs.

The Awesome BadAsses are technically in 3rd place and control their own destiny to get in the playoffs with a win. Should they lose, they would need an OC loss in order to move on to the game's biggest stage.

Records - Rebel Alliance (9-12, 5-7), Awesome BadAsses (10-11, 8-4)

My team has some talent... too bad it took so long for the boys to start playing ball.

Grich delivers walk off homerun

SIOUX FALLS (AP) - With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, B.Grich stepped up to the plate and drilled the first pitch he saw out of the park for a walk off home run to give the Unholy Legions the victory in dramatic fashion.

The Unholy Legions squandered a 9-1 lead to the Sally Cunts, and after seven innings, the game was even at 9. However, Robnsn and Franco pitched lights out in relief in the 8th and 9th as they only gave up a combined 1 hit and no earned runs to one of the top teams in offense, an impressive feat indeed. Their effort was instrumental to a Unholy Legion victory and they are the first team this year to blank the Sally Cunts in the last two innings. The Sally Cunts, who have a knack for coming back from big deficits, came up short as they could not figure out Robnsn and Franco

The non league game and possible FRBI V World Series preview was a highly anticipated game in which everybody thought it would be a shoot-out. Instead, the 48,000 fans at Sioux Falls Park got a low scoring game and the main thing as to why they paid for those tickets, a win by their beloved team at home.

A.Dawson hit a home run and drove in three runners, and M.Schmidt went 4-5 and notched 2 doubles to lead the number offense in the league.

Records - Unholy Legions of Doom (13-8, 7-4), Sally Cunts (14-7, 8-4)

Fighting Cutlers win third straight, move into second place

DEE NEE (AP) - M.Nokes hit two home runs and B.Hurst shut down the Chocolate Rain as the visiting Cutlers won convincingly 14-6. With their third straight win, the Fighting Cutlers now find themselves in second place in the Gantry Division and one game ahead of both the OC and the BadAsses with one game left to play in the season.

Along with his pair of home runs, M.Nokes went 6-6 with a double and drove in 4 runners. T.Herr had a very productive night out of the 8th hole as he collected 4 hits and a hit an insurance 2 run shot in the top of the ninth.
B.Hurst picked up the win and only allowed 2 ER and 5 hits in his five dominant innings of long relief work.

With the crucial loss, the Chocolate Rain desperately need to win their finale against the BadAsses at home and need both the Artichokes and Alliance to lose in order to force a one-game-playoff with the Artichokes.

Records - Fighting Cutlers (11-10 4-7), Chocolate Rain (8-13, 5-7)

Pabst Blue Ribbons shock Galactic Empire, win second straight

IMPERIAL CENTER (AP) - The Pabst Blue Ribbons who have the worst record in the FRBI League,  got great pitching from Ojeda and Alxndr and used a 11 run 7th inning to go up 17-4 and held on to upset the Empire 17-12. The Empire, along with the Sally Cunts, have the best record in the league, so the fans at Imperial Center Stadium were rightfully shocked and angry over their Empire's worst performance of the year.

The Pabst Blue Ribbons have put together their first winning streak of the year by winning two straight while the Empire have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season.

T.Puhl hit three doubles and a triple and J.Canseco hit a pair of shots  to lead the Blue Ribbon offense. B.Ojeda cooled off the hot Empire offense as he blanked them for the first three innings and only allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits. Alxndr pitched solid in long relief and picked up the win.

J.Morris, second in the FRBI League in ERA, was pounded for 16 hits and 13 runs in his 3 innings of shaky long relief work.

Records - Pabst Blue Ribbons (6-15, 3-9), Galactic Empire (14-7, 9-2)
