Depends what runner. For instance, Coleman, Raines, Lopes, and O.Smith can steal on any pitch from 88 and below.

This is certainly NOT true, maybe for Coleman, but I can throw out anyone else with normal pitches in the low 80's almost every time.

Raines and Lopes can get second with just about any pitch in the very low 80's. Sometimes Smith. That is what I remember doing. And yes, the catcher/player did throw a one hop seed to second.

A good jump is key. The problem is trying not to give it away in the batter's box.

I second this.

It takes a perfect throw, but if you can do that, Ozzie and the likes are gone...But it's still worth trying since they're fast enough to get back in time.

Reds

Vince very rarely even manages a clean steal around here....even against guys like Doyle...

That is why you start at the top of the box and use the retreat batting style for the hit and run.

I love the hit and run with runners on first and second.

What about stealing third? I have done it on knucklers or when some stupid fuck left in a tired pitcher too long with Coleman, Raines or Lopes on second.

Its near impossible without the dead arm pitcher.

I have snuck a couple through with the speeady cards, but its tough.

That is odd.  I don't think Strassy has ever thrown Vince out stealing second when we play each other.

broiler

does he ever hold the runner when you've got vince on first?

The Darkside has it right.
