Its really too bad, but its tough to make it out for the tourny.  Those that do are true fucking die hards.  I tip my cap.

Bandur, Callan, Foster, Freedman (cough cough), & Kazmierczak only make their forum appearances near tourney time.  Clarke is on every so often though.  Note: All the above but Freedman are in the COTUT.

Friedman is the guy from Texas right?  He used to post awhile back, damn good player.   Met him at last year's tourney, very cool guy...

Yes, an excellent player and fellow.  He initially joined but I had to refund his money after one of his buddies postponed his wedding by another two weeks.  He had to cancel since he's in the wedding.

i havent been on the forums in a year or so and i will check occasionally now that the tourney is here (you were right, beales).  yeah, i cant wait to drop $50 to lose in the first round.  i have a feeling that im playing beales or foster in the first round.
this time i promise i wont oversleep in the semifinals to forfeit to foster. haha, what could of been.

ok heres the story.  so i have the address of the tourney and type it in mapquest but somehow it takes me to a different town. so im driving around trying to find the address of a house probably 20 miles away.  so after a looong time my car slows down and wont start. turns out it ran out of gas. at the time i didnt have a cell phone, so i had to walk a couple blocks to the quickee mart to use the pay phone and called home.  so my mom says that a mike beales called (luckily he had my number) and is wondering where i am. so i tell her my situation and to call him back and tell him where i am. so after waiting a long time, bandur and beales show up.  my car was sitting in the middle of the frickin road, so us 3 all pushed it over to the side and parked it. they then took me to the tournament an hour late to play some rbi. the guy i was supposed to play didnt show up or something so nice guys that they are, they gave me the win. so after playing a couple rounds, its nighttime and jason kaz offers to drive me back to my car.  so he takes me back, i get in, grab like 5 bucks in change (i had no money), we go to the gas station, i buy a gas can with gas and bring it back to my car and i go on my way.  the next day i just drove to beales house and he showed me the way.  this time i will try to be better prepared.

Yeah, so the tourney is in the Chicago suburbs and good ol' Callan here basically drives straight into Chicago where his car died in the middle of the street.  Absolutely unbelievable Jim 'Bob' Callan.
