First off, I'm a newbie.  Great site guys!!!  I found this sight a couple of days ago and it inspired me to drag the Nintendo out of the closet which I hadn't played in several months.

I just wanted to say that I homered with Sullivan of Bo AND the Wizard in consecutive games against the comp. last night.  I was all celebrating and my wife was wondering what was going on.  It was great.  Neither homer was a cheapie either; they were both no doubt about it shots.  I also hit two bombs with Sheridan in the same game a little later.  It was a good night all around.

Can any of you remember specific nights when you were on fire with the seemingly low stat players?

Keep up the good work.  I'll see you guys around.

Harry Spilman, one of the games hottest, shitty stat players.  This guy has Darryl Strawberry potential with his deceivingly shitty stats.  I've seen him drop 4 bombs in a game, and he's only got 1 bomb on his stats!
I hope he rests in peace, the trouble is the fellow owes me forty bucks"

Welcome Big Hath, good to see this site inspired someone to drag out the NES and start playing again.  Makes me semi-proud...

Next step is to drag an old friend back into the mix, so you don't have to play the CPU all the time....

Yeah, I was telling a freind of mine about getting out the NES and playing RBI and what do you know . . . he remembered playing that game when he was a kid.  Next thing you know, he's over at my place playing the greatest video game ever.  Of course it had been several years since he played so I basically crushed him everytime.  It was fun none the less.  He did remember how to judge fly balls thankfully.

Fielding is key...  Most people won't be able to hit after a big layoff, that comes back with experience...

at least now when  you say you hit a bomb it wont have the asterisk that you did it off the computer.

beating up on another human being is much more satisfying.

Unfortunately I was stuck again last night playing against the comp., but I did have an interesting game.  I was Cali. vs. Bo.  Around the 2nd or 3rd I got the pitcher glitch where he's throwing from the third base area.  After walking the bases loaded, Gary Pettis comes up.  About this time, the pitcher has finally moved over in front of the plate and is throwing strikes.  After two strikes I have to foul one off to get the pitcher back on the mound for a real at bat.  GP proceeds to line a grand slam to right and on consecutive pitches I get homers from DeCinces, Absorbine, RE-GIE, Downing and Jones!  Six homers on consecutive pitches against the much despised Clemens!

Gantry, I thought you might enjoy this being the expert Cali player that you are.  Also, GP doesn't seem to get much love on the boards, so it was nice to see him showing some potential.
