The PH Power Up

We've known for certain that it exists, we all take advantage of it, but I've never heard anyone comment on how genius it was from a programming stand point, to have a 1st AB PH bonus power, such a great idea.

It's really contrary to real baseball, though.  Trust me when I say that I realize that RBI is real baseball, but in the major leagues, it's generally much more difficult for a player to come off the bench and mash--potentially not fully warmed up and what not.

But since those four PH cannot ever start, once again, RBI is proved to be genius.

I like the fact that they rewarded you for saving a PH for a clutch situation.

I love the PH power up. There's nothing better than inserting Tim Teufel and going yard. I'd like to add that I went deep with Timmy T 2x in one inning last night. However, the last time I bragged about something like that, I went into a couple week slump. We'll see if I jinxed myself again.

Actually, does that happen to anyone else here? Prolonged slumps suck - if they do happen to you, do you think it's a timing thing or are there RBI curses? Perhaps after a big win w/the Mets, I'm cursed?

who needs the pinch hit power up when you have ozzie power....   i finally registered on this site last week solely because i hit a grand slam with ozzie smith and had to share the feat, then last night i was playing with my buddy and i hit a solo shot with ozzie...the only two times i can remember hitting a job with him and they come in a span of 5 or so days after having played for the past 16-17 years......

jose oquendo is definately my favorite PH. always hits it deep or out on his first at bat. pretty much guaranteed. and with 1 hr to show for himself, i love it.

i know, it was crazy...  i told my buddy (who i play against all the time, he pointed this site out to me) that we need to get that shit recorded....but i doubt that we'll see such power from ozzie again in a long time...
