I've lurked around dee-nee for ages and am just now getting around to registering.

Can't wait for the online stuff to get going.  Since the wife goes to bed early, as does the boy, I'll be available most evenings for some RBI action.

Til then. . . I'm off to kick the shit out of the computer. . . . again.

JoeDirt

Welcome.  Just curious, why did you decide now to register?

Your username and quote has made you my hero.  If Ryno doesn't make this year, I'm gonna be pissed.  He should already be in.

I went through the online thread and could sense that quite possibly the greatest event in human history was soon to be upon us. . . . . and I didn't want to miss out.

GO CARDS!!  ;D

Don't get me started!

You have no idea how pissed I was as a child. . . . . loved RBI but the only time I could play as the Cubs was on those rare occasions that I'd luck up and find a VS RBI at an arcade.

I'm loving the new 2003 playoff ROM.  If onlyI could get Nomar on that roster.

Ryno retired because his wife was a cock-inhaling hoebag.

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

Yep. . . .sad but true.

See, I told you guys.  And you actually doubted me.  Finally, someone concurs with my seemingly ridiculous statement.

Is there more to the story?  Something online, perhaps?  I've heard McLane talk about this before, but I never heard about that side of the retirement.  Sandberg is my hero, and I think dealing with a ho-bag wife only adds to his legend.  Were they divorced by the time he unretired, or did he just lock her in the house or something?

I just did some googling, and one of the first results for my search for "sandberg wife" (unquoted) was a claim that the Cubs got rid of Palmeiro because he was banging Ryno's wife.  A better search turned up several references to that, although nothing about any other escapades.

They used to live in Scottsdale (rich suburb of Phoenix) and word got around that she was a hoe.  I heard it from my dad and one of his buddies.
Didn't know Raffy was poppin' her.  Guess he hasn't always used the blue diamond.
Maybe Sandberg and Raffy will get elected together and Sandberg can kill him in Cooperstown.  I would.

It's very well known by Cub fans that the Cub organization didn't really choose Grace of Palmeiro.  Palmeiro chose to bone Ryno's wife and the Cub organization got rid of him.

Weird thing is that Palmeiro's kid is named "Ryne."

I named my kid "Ryne" but I never boned Ryno's wife.

There is also rumors of Rey Sanchez getting a piece of the action.

I heard he went through a pretty messy divorce during his retirement (actually, I heard that was the reason he retired).  When he came back, he was re-married to someone new, but his old spark had all but been diffused.  Still... he'll always be my favorite player of all time.

Ryno23

His first year back he hit 25 bombs and drove in 92.  Not bad for a 2B who hadn't played in 18 months.  His avg was crap that year, but he made less than 8 errors all year.
